Dear readers, today was not a successful day. Most of it was spent watching blue lock (and absolutely fan-girling over Bachira... shhh) and bed-rotting. I had a bowl of cereal with milk... cereal first, then milk... and promptly went back to rotting in my bed.

Well, today wasn't all that unsuccessful, I had my first shower in 5 days (I'm depressed, okay?) and talked to my friend about ways to raise dopamine levels. So today wasn't a total fail. I'm going to be going to target around 7pm to grab thumb-tacks for my posters and a swimsuit for my trip to Europe; which is now 3 days away.

If anybody has any good tips on how to find good blue lock related fandom stuff, HIT ME UP!!! My asks are open!

I hate when school ends, purely because I feel like I lack purpose, it becomes so hard to function when all sense of routine is just ripped from you, y'know? And yeah, I feel like I changed a lot too. I really, really disliked school, but I hate to see it leave....

Day 10 (Little things, Big thoughts) - School years

Today was the last day of school. It didn’t actually fully process for me until I was on the bus to head home, when I realized I would be spending the next 2 1/2 months or so doing… nothing. Well, not nothing, but I won’t have something to do daily. I’ll have to dictate my own plans and activities each day. It’s almost difficult to know how to function when a routine abruptly ends.

Of course, I wanted to post about the end of the school year. I looked through photos from this past school year, each one rekindling a memory. There were even old inside jokes I documented. I got to thinking about how school years seem to be more remembered for me than age. For example, I remember freshman year more than I remember being 14. They’re a good way to document time, really. This year was especially remarkable because I learned a LOT, not just in school, but also about myself, my relationships, etc. And I still had so much fun all throughout. I adjusted my clothing style, my hairstyle, my lifestyle. It’s like I’m a whole different person than who I was just last summer, which is so hard to believe for me. How could someone change so much in 9 months?

I especially love remembering little things. Things like; the music I listened to at the time, the interests I had, the inside jokes I had with my friends, the things I wrote. It really provides a deeper level to rememberance. Nostalgia can be both heartwrenching and beautiful/comforting. It’s my favorite feeling ever, because it’s so vast, and it provides insight, and it’s so personalized that only you could observe it the way you do.

Shit's going down in Los Angeles area.

What happened is that there was already protests against the ICE detention facilities, and ICE made the brilliant move of kidnapping the leader of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Protestors started pushing their non-violent actions, with ZERO weaponry, and ICE has begun firing teargas and rubber bullets (which can be fatal). Tonight they are bringing in the NATIONAL GUARD.

Meanwhile, they're stepping up kidnappings and "deportations"--If you dont have your papers and you live in southern california I'd avoid leaving your house. If you're a citizen, keep your papers on you as you leave.

And if you're one of the brave people fighting this gestapo, PLEASE DO SO SAFELY!!! Dont use milk to rinse out teargas or pepper spray, it can cause infections with the bacteria in it!!!! Use water!!!! Tell someone where you're going, but leave your phone at home unless you're there to document. If you are there to document, DONT SHARE PROTESTORS FACES OR IDENTIFYING FEATURES on social media!!!! And for fucks sake, WRITE A LAWYER PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR BODY WITH SHARPIE, trust me, it could save your ass.

Hello, my name is Beth, I am a human that resides in Houston, Texas. I created this blog to have an outlet-- an online journal if you will. I will be posting about my day-to-day life, and my interests; which include: Anything relating to fan fiction and fandoms, and US politics. Now let me say, I am NOT a professional. I am only stating my opinions and my observations on here, so please don't come with any hostility.

Anywhoooo, moving on.

Today was kind of lame. I bed-rotted most of the time, but I took the advice of my therapist and drank a glass of milk, set a to-do list, and took a much needed nap. After my nap, I promptly cleaned my room and kitchen, then went straight back to bed rotting. Life is good.

But is life really all that good right now? As someone who lives in a major city, and where the police really aren't that competent, I constantly live in fear of leaving my house because of racial profiling, and being deported. Now let me get this straight, I am of legal status, but people are being deported without their due process, and that shit is really scary.

But on a nicer note, I started an anime named Blue Lock. To water it down, its an anime about football (yes I call soccer football, deal with it) and a bunch of people competing to be the no.1 striker. It's pretty interesting... but my gaydar is definitely going off for Bachira... whattt who said that?
