I get sequential art can be difficult, but I'm sorry, if you are having to use arrows to guide the readers along, you are not doing a good job. And they just allowed this?

Jason Todd in The Gotham Wars

Despite being Gotham War being wildly inconsistent it's it's tone and storyline between all the comics, I like the larger story at play here of Bruce finally loosing sight of himself and what made him an effective hero. It's a natural progression of his character due to the amount of trauma that he's gone through over there years and the level of disassociation he puts himself through for his "Batman" persona and his "Bruce Wayne" persona. He doesn't let himself just exist as he is.
I think this needs to be a long story arc though, of Bruce hanging up the cowl for a bit, getting help and refunding himself. Maybe moving behind the scenes. This would be a perfect Segway into somebody else taking up the mantle

I find it very funny that for other characters it's okay to argue they were written in an ooc way but not for jason. Every single thing jason has done is canon, no don't look at my fav doing something ooc they were written by someone who doesn't understand their character.
That is wild. Jason fans don't have the right to claim that for some reason. For any other character you can claim they're ooc/someone doesn't understand their values but not jason he's just a shitty character who's a villain.
And don't get me started about the cop argument (again). How do you hate a fictional character so much that you insist they're a cop because they kill people and you ignore the other vigilantes that are oh so morally righteous that are doing cop shit, but oh it's fine they don't kill anyone. Vigilantism is illegal irl, batman works with cops, batman and the others beat criminals up and throw them in jail. Your morally correct favs are working outside the law but it's fine because they kinda work with cops it's chill. Excessive force may lead to death but if you don't see it in a panel it doesn't exist.
It's not jason that drives people out of "his" city if they don't agree with his methods. It's not jason that works with cops regularly yet people somehow never argue that he's copaganda.
Nah jason is just a shitty character and obviously a villain guys don't worry.

You know what I'm going to say it, not every comic book story arc has to be nuance or good. American comics have always been cheap, sensationalized, hastily written stories for cheap entertainment, why expect them to be more than that? Especially when they became more serialized in the 70s and 80s. They were soap opera for boys.
There is definitely a time an place for more artistic takes on characters but you shouldn't expect it in the bimonthly batman runs

And it makes for a confusing read. Not only do I have to Google too make sure I'm not missing any issues, but now I have to do research on what order to read them in too.
I truly hate that dc latest way to do events is to make just an absurd amount of "one-shot" comics that need to be hunted down.

In my AU Titans is a network of teams: North, South East and West
Tumblr media
Here is a map showing the jurisdiction of each team.
The HQ for Titans North is in Detroit, Michigan and Starfire is the Leader for that team
Titans East HQ is Bludhaven, New Jersey with Nightwing as the leader
Titans South is based out of Dallas, Texas and Red Arrow, Roy Harper I is the leader there
Finally the HQ for Titans West is in Los Angeles, California with Raven as the Lead
They do their best to maintain each faction's district and put a stop to major crimes. They also lend a hand to any heros operating in there areas
There is only one Teen Titans team which is based out of Metropolis. Since the members are teens it's more of a weekend team/summer type of program. These teen are also mentored by their corresponding Titans faction during the year when they are at home
