Thx. #survivingpoverty As I've highlighted in many of the descriptions of my @fixed1t youtube videos, most of them came about due to a repair I needed to carry out for myself or from the very long list that my wife keeps just for me ;-) a growing and expanding list.  One such item was the fact that her laser printer was now putting messy lines, spots and smudges on her laser prints this is How To Fix Laser Printer Black Lines And Marks After running the clean the drum routine (it hardly ever works) she asked me to fix it. So this is me Removing Laser Printer Drum and removing the Lines And Marks quickly and effciently.  Althought this video is about a Brother laser printer the same principle applies to laser printer makes.  However, there is never guarentee this will complete work and I accept no responsibility if you decide to copy what I show in this video, but it does work and often buys time to get another roller and or ink cartridge. How To Loosen Maxi Cosi Car Child Seat Straps

Since making my @fixed1t  video on the Maxi Cosi Childs Car Seat I've had a number of questions from people for a more detailed look at adjusting the straps as the child gets bigger or to use with a smaller child.  If you just want to adjust the tightness of the straps this is the video.  As always it's relatively simple once you know how and have a spare old toothbrush available in the car (you need it if you don't want to scratch, break or otherwise destroy your nails). Robot NAO Poppy Tells The Story Of Rapunzel By The Brothers Grimm

Whilst doing some programming with my Robot NAO Poppy I decided its would be great to have her read to me so here she is as she Tells The Story Of Rapunzel By The Brothers Grimm.  For those who don't know Rapunzel is the plant in the garden of the enchantress which she use as the name for the baby girl she takes from her frightened mother and father.  After I'd video'd this I decided it look bland so I found some old picture and used very shorts pieces as the backdrop after processing them to look as only as the original story. It's seed planting time in the greenhouse or seed trays and there is no better way to start than to gently flatten the compost so you can equally space out the seeds to figure out what is plant and what is seed when they start growing.  There are commercial seed trey Tamper's available but they are expensive for what they are so I made my own.  You just need to cut a piece of wood to the size of your tray and put a handle on it.  Here is my Gardening Tips DIY Seed Tray Tamper by Malcolm aka  @fixed1t

VR AR 3D Orion Spacecraft Low Lunar Orbit

Watching the amazing Orion Spacecraft  Low Lunar Orbit made me wonder what it would look like in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality 3D so I decided to process it. In Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg   Part 3 I achieved my result a temperature of 80+ centigrade and a hard boiled egg. The time taken was cut by a third by adding insulation to 2 hours 15 mins. In this video Surviving Poverty : Can A Tealight Candle Cook An Egg   Part 4 I've substituted the Tealight Candle for a candle sized Methylated Spirit Burner to try and reduce the cooking time to reach 80 degrees centigrade. My modification was really successful as you will see, if you watch all the video. Background The UK economy is in trouble, normal working people are regularly having to work two or three jobs and shifts in order to bring in sufficient money just to live. The energy crisis caused by the energy companies price hiking with no controls other than 'The Market' ie themselves means that working people are desperate to reduce their energy costs, fuel bills and food bills to try to reduce the increasing amount of debt they are having to take on just to survive. So where does that leave those without jobs, or in such poorly paid zero hours jobs where they find themselves with only a few pennies to spare for heating, lighting, food and cooking or the old on miserably low UK pensions and disabled on benefits, the worst in the free world. It leaves them with nothing. So I've decided to set about finding out what I can achieve with the meagrest of items and over this series of videos I will be doing truthful and repeatable experiments and eating, drinking and staying warm with the outcomes. scenario one: So your in a war zone, you need to stay indoors perhaps in a cellar, you have limited water, only a single small candle and a lighter plus a tiny 250ml pan and one egg stolen from a local chicken. It can be done with patience, you can cook a hard boiled egg, this video shows how. However, it took a very long time to boil the egg a toal of 3 hours 52 mins. Surviving Poverty 1 Preventing Heat Loss Through Tripod Legs

Whilst carrying out my first experiment to cook a boiled egg from cold using just a small Tealight Candle, I realised that a lot of the heat going into the tripod mesh was being lost heating up the metal tripod legs. Unboxing A Small 250 ml or halt a pint Turkish Copper Bottom Milk Pan

This video is an Unboxing A Small 250 ml or halt a pint Turkish Copper Bottom Milk Pan. Over the coming weeks, months and years, I plan to use it and others in a series experiments.  Due to the rise in Fuel Poverty with people not having sufficient income to pay for fuel or energy for cooking, I've decided to look into the minumum that is required to provide cooked food, hot drinks and personal heating. The reason I have gone for this small pan is; its highly conductive copper bottom; its sturdy stainless steel design and its size make it heatable by a low heat sources. Unboxing A Fix A Zipper Zip Repair Pack - Part 1

My wifes golf back water proof zip is broken so I ordered this Fiz A Zipper repair pack to try and repair the zipper, as they are really expensive to replace.
