very weird happenings
there's something really weird going on because..
it's been brought to my attention (not really, i see it on my own) that a lot of smut in this app under the x reader tags are of.. the underage characters.
im not over here finding these btw, i do (anime) x reader and boom i get some smut here and there and lo and behold the under 18 characters are there..?
was literally just scrolling on wind breaker (the anime) x reader stuff and why are the minors included in the nsfw ones??
its crazy, because i dont want to hear someone go "theyre aged up" or "im a minor too"(pertaining to the readers/writers of said smut) and it doesnt make it better.
ive seen a few, a handful of people, talk about this before and it doesnt just exist outside the anime fandom because it happens to the spiderverse fandom too, most especially with miles morales.
i read this somewhere, from someone who brought up the topic like almost a year ago probably, and they mentioned that unless the minor has a canon aged up or older version of them somewhere in the original source, then its good, for example timeskip!haikyuu or like any other anime who has had a timeskip where the minors also have a canon legal age counterpart. and i agree
(p.s. if yk who im talking about or what the post was lmk bc the credit goes to them)
because its weird to age up a minor character for nsfw purposes and it feels like its getting worse because some of them afaik dont even specify or say that the characters are aged up. are we just keeping them young now??
the whole point of this rant isnt to stop writing nsfw, thats a whole ass genre and people enjoy reading or writing that and i wont shame them for it. i will shame people however, if they still do this genre for minor characters that have never grown up in its original source media, or you still use their minor or non-legal age for it.
im not excusing "theyre fictional characters" either. because it starts here. if you're comfortable with minor characters being written in nsfw or just plain inappropriate stories or scenarios then that says a lot about you. (this goes for art as well actually.)
idk if we can excuse aged up characters for like normal x readers like fluff, angst stuff like that but thats a different conversation. we take this thing step by step
thats all, stay safe children, and idk just.. just stop man. its weird

Ghost who works out constantly. It's almost startling how often he's in the gym; practically claimed his very own corner and treadmill. Everyone thinks it's just to stay strong for his job. They take motivation from him; some rookies even began a "Ghost Challenge" that now has become a tradition with each new batch.
Except, he isn't doing it to get particularly strong or meet some insane feat of the human physique. No, in reality he has a massive sweet tooth that just won't quit and a little baker partner at home who is nothing but happy to indulge.

Arcane talk round 2:
Hi okay so I'm back, this time with a little more to talk about because I just finished arcane, finally.
This is mainly going to be on my thoughts on the ending, maybe even season 2 in general because why not?
Again, this is just my thoughts, very heavily my opinions but anyone is welcome to add onto it, to refute my statements in case I misinterpret or forget something crucial, as long as it stays civilized and above all an adult conversation.
This is going to be long.
Okay so to start us off, how were my thoughts on the entire season in general?
I mentioned on my last rant post that I had a gripe with season 2 especially because it felt like the oppression plot that was well established in season 1 was mostly put aside or just forgotten in general.
I think that it's still mostly true. Absolutely in season 2 it's not forgotten, its still there but its mainly a background plot because this season seemed to focus heavily on the characters and their arcs as individuals.
However, even if it felt like the oppression storyline was there, whether in the background or sprinkled in throughout the overall story, it felt glossed over.
Let me explain.
I'm not saying that it was fully forgotten, or else the whole revolution with Jinx as the symbol would have been erased if the storyline was just pushed aside as a whole. I was under the impression that the show was going to go on for maybe another season, or more, and then it was cancelled.
I looked it up, to see if it was cancelled or perhaps there's a new season on its way but I found that season 3 wouldn't be coming because according to the co-creator, Christian Linke, they had always planned Arcane to be the beginning of more stories that were to come, which meant that the show really ended at just 2 seasons.
But the way that season 2 was written felt like it shouldn't have ended in two seasons, or at least shouldn't have been fit in a mere 9 episodes considering that for me, the oppression storyline was resolved... how again exactly?
It makes sense that Piltover and Zaun would band together to win over the Noxians, don't get me wrong, because at the end of the day they're still one nation that needs any and all resources and all the help they can have, which both don't have on their own if it's against Ambessa and her soldiers.
It just felt like at the end they just seemed to forget, no dialogue or scene to show that Piltover apologized, or have done something for Zaun to forgive the hundreds of years of oppression their people have gone through.
I don't know if the writers had to fit the entire thing in strictly 9 episodes or if that was exactly how the ending was supposed to be.
Don't get me wrong, I like the ending because finally the people of Zaun aren't treated the way they were before the war, but where is the accountability? Where are the people that should be taking responsibility for everything that Zaunites have had to deal with?
Although, we do get that dialogue of Caitlyn talking about how they are doomed to revisit the error of their ways (or something along those lines), its not the kind of accountability I was looking for. What kind of errors is she referring to? It can refer to everyone in Piltover and Zaun. It feels too vague to be proper accountability for the things Piltover has done.
You can say that it should go both ways, but it shouldn't be. This might seem biased but Zaun was doing what they had to do to gain the freedom they rightfully deserve, what does Piltover want that made them do all those things to Zaun? One good reason.
I'll be ending this rant here, feel free to correct me or state your own opinion but like I said, keep it a civil and adult conversation because at the end of the day this is just a fictional story.

This has been in my head for like weeks and it's what makes me struggle to actually finish arcane LMFAO. For context ive been mostly interacting with arcane stuff on tiktok and ive seen some stuff and opinions that doesn't sit well with me.
also on another note i havent fully finished arcane, i stopped at s2 ep6 so ep7 to 9 i have no prior knowledge apart from spoilers i got bc of arcane edits.
and on one last note, if you disagree or agree with me in this you're free to express it. just be civil. we can all be adults and we know how to understand so just mind your words bc people on tiktok state their opinion so aggressively, it is not needed. we dont need that energy here.
okay so with that out of the way, like i said ive seen a lot of tiktoks lately and i want to kind of speak my mind (technically rant) about some of the discourse regarding characters and whatnot. This is going to be long.
also, spoilers.
so first up is caitlyn. How do i start?
Caitlyn:
I do love caitlyn... in season 1.
in s2 not so much but hear me out. a lot of people have been debating on her actions and how half the fandom hate her, half love her (some a little,,, off putting but ill get into that later) and here's my unneeded take. I don't think its valid. like her actions in s2 are so morally wrong it blows my mind.
first of all, Im not going to say that its ooc of her because that doesnt make sense to say. this cant be ooc (in my perspective) because we have never seen caitlyn angry to the point of doing this. this is our (or my) first time seeing her go through grief this bad that it has her making decisions we dont particularly agree with or is objectively right to do. we cant say that this is "out of character" because we had'nt had prior idea or knowledge to how she'd cope with her mother's passing.
second off, like i said i dont think its valid. yes, i understand her actions are a result of her mothers untimely passing but we can't keep saying that it was right of her to do what she did.
we can empathize and we can understand that what she's doing is because she's had enough of jinx putting the people of piltover in danger because obviously she cares about these people, and it put her over the edge the day that her mother died because of jinx. but it doesnt mean that her actions were right objectively (i say objectively because we all have different moral compasses).
lets get into what she did
her actions consist of:
-gassing the undercity (even after watching an entire documentary/history lesson about how her mother built the ventilation systems to keep the grey out of the undercity)
i dont want to hear people saying that it never showed people dying, it was only used on the gangs, the goons, and jinx. people, we dont need to see people dying to know that the grey has been a problem zaunites have had to deal with for years until cassandra (cait's mom) built those vents.
yes, you can say that they didnt show people dying, doesn't mean that using it wont have consequences if anyone that was innocent does get affected. gas spreads, it moves, it can and it will affect anyone in the vicinity or anyone that comes across it. how do you know that it didnt affect anyone?
even in a moral lens, isnt it just wrong to use the grey ( which in the real world might be equal to something like tear gas. theory tho, going off of tear gas effects) to "clear out" the streets of the undercity where homeless people litter the streets, where children, old people, and people with disabilities roam freely?
-the scene where she insisted she wont miss her shot at jinx
for this one, i think she said this because she was obviously frustrated. she believed in her abilities and she had jinx right in front of her and obviously she wasn't thinking straight.
but people, i cant defend her when i saw her miss her shot just a minute prior. she can think that about herself, that she can shoot past isha and hit jinx in the head, i cant. like i said she missed, it is absolutely not a guarantee to her that they wont move once she pulls the trigger, which is exactly why she hit jinx in the finger instead, and almost killed vi before too.
like its more understandable for me that that statement would come from her, than if it came from someone that was watching the show.
with that, i think i covered mainly my thing with caitlyn. i do empathize, and i do think that for someone thats grieving and angry, her actions can be understandable in that perspective. i do not however, think her actions are justified, especially bc its borderline fascist (if not already). she's a dictator in simpler terms and its just so wrong no matter how i look at it.
i mentioned earlier as well that there were caitlyn supporters that were off putting, but honestly even caitlyn haters can be the same so really its not just a one sided thing going on. the least we can do with this topic, especially because its not black and white, is be civil and just talk about it properly we dont need aggression.
Jayce:
I love jayce, i truly do. well, for the most part.
this rant simply started bc i saw people saying he's privileged, he's egotistical etc, etc.
here is my take.
some people (might just be one actually) see jayce as a minority, or an immigrant and believe that that erases his privilage. but let's talk about it.
no matter if jayce is a minority, or an immigrant, it does not erase that he is from a known house (even if its small) and lives in piltover. he is in the academy, a known scientist and inventor, and he's part of the council. where is the privilege? right there.
he has privilege, why are we erasing that? he has the privilege to live in piltover, to study and learn, to meet with the highest of the highs that control and lead their entire nation, to be known as a great inventor and scientist who, through hextech, has improved the lives of many, who bears a name that is recognizable as a house, and even if he is not equal in wealth with salo or mel, is still equal in status because he now stands amongst them in the same rank and has mel beside him to get the other counselors on board with his plans or ideas.
he has privilege, we cant erase that just because he's an immigrant, because objectively he's living a life better than anyone in the undercity does. hell, viktor has privilege because he's living in piltover now, he no longer lives in the undercity where people struggle, get hunted down, and killed.
thats mostly what i wanted to talk about, i cant say if he is egotistical because i cant remember him being one? arrogant in a way, maybe. but egotistical im not so sure.
with that note.. thats all the word vomiting i can do. but mainly my main gripe is how s2 loses what i loved with the s1 storyline and its the oppression that piltover has on the undercity. it could have been even better if they had handled it properly but i guess it just gets erased like that..
anyways, like i said im up for discussion. you're free to dicuss, to correct, to agree because i can admit i might be forgetting about certain scenes or diaogue or whatnot and its good to be educated and to learn from other people as well.
so, idk, dont take this too personally. at the end of the day it is a show, with important storylines, but still just a show nevertheless. we dont need to be so personal and so aggressive with debates, we can have it like adults, and we can have opinions and thats okay.
thanks for listening lmao

FINALLY FINISHED THIS!! my own interpretation and additions to Sebastian's room in sdv ! Tried to keep anything in the image from the year 2010 or predated. i think theres a few give and takes but i really like the "older brother" early 2000s grunge aesthetic on another level and i thought who better fits it than him. I put a lot of references to stuff i personally like as well ^_^

ive been seeing a lot of those beabadobee (i spelt it right, right?) edits of bllk boys and like who isn't a gentleman, who is, you know? and even though i havent really like read bllk, i havent really followed the story after watching the first season, I'd like to think barou should be there too.
iirc, he has sisters, i feel like that's already a big giveaway on how he is as a person. im pretty sure he also like knows how to clean, like house shit in general like i feel that the barou gentleman agenda isn't being focused on a lot, there are neon signs guys.
although do correct me if im wrong, i havent followed bllk in a while so i might be wrong about some stuff or i missed a dialogue or scene in the manga about how he's actually super rude.
but that's just my take yk, i want more barou shoei appreciation
(i have no idea if someone pointed this out already hoo boy)
