Price looked at Faredae, "The demon normally do that?"
"Yes."
"How do you control her?"
"With respect. Talk to a woman with respect and politely. She might rip off your enemies' head for you."
"Objective?"
"Find the informant. You guys got in the way."
"We were not informed. Not our problem."
"Shepard said it slipped his mind. The old man is getting dementia. Now my problem is to figure out what to do from here. Redeploy Demon is not easy as her every step is planned. Pentagon is afraid of losing their asset."
"The demon of yours doesn't seem so capable. "
"She is the stuff of nightmares. She follows orders half assed, but Demon follows parameters spot on or people die of interference. "
"What happened?"
"I got shot, broken rib, deflated lung. Demon now follows me closely, fearful of losing me. Now, anyone who aims a weapon at me gets a broken arm."
The demon approached from the shadows of the room. When the demon spoke words were obscure, the sound of syllabls were familiar but different.
"Demon, meet Captain Price. You ran into his team in Spain."
"Nice to meet you," the woman in red said. Price shook her hand. Noted her short stature.
"Likewise. Not what I expected from a field operative. "
"No. I'm not meant to be." She pulled away

It watched in the fog, an Observer. Tall and resembled an inanimate object, yet posed no harm or ill will to the humans. The detective paid it no mind as she walked down the sidewalk. The early morning, the gas lanterns are off and the bitter chill numbed her nose. The light splash of the water hitting the wall, yet nothing stirred. The demon said nothing but waited while lighting up a cigarette not far from the ship. Then the air shifted, "YOU needed something?"
"Your experience. I found this in Cedar, NewJersey, your thoughts are appreciated. "
"Came from the old ones, the ones that started the rest of us." A language written down that predates the two monsters combined. "My appologies, but I am unable to read this."
"Well, isn't this just fantastic." The demon lamented.
"I don't know anyone who can." The vampire handed the letter back, "Great use of my time, really. Any thing else your highness?"
The demon huffed and hawed, "No. I have nothing else."
"Were I you, look into how the human obtained that letter."
"Done. The human was hypnotized. When I dug further in his head, I found static. When forced to push through, the human couldn't handle it. Nothing suspicious appeared before or after. Thanks for your time."
"Sure you have this case?"
"I won't turn you away. I'd like your help."

You cant keep what was never yours.
You can not hold on to something that does not want to stay.

Claire was scared to move and too petrified to make a sound. Sophie left the short blade with Claire as a form of protection; could cut anything and anyone. Claire wished , prayed, and begged for Sophie to appear to save her from this torture.
The clamor of books hitting the ground made Claire run out the room. Down the steps with her father roaring behind her only to give chase. Out the doors into the darkness but her light pink dress did not hide well. Claire ran and kept going until she reached Sophie's home. Sophie was not there anymore. The last battle had cost them the red headed demon, but the human casualties were less than 10 and wounded less than 20. Claire sat in once was Sophie's garden and wept as she was alone.
Claire needed to go get the blade that was like a charm of protection with the bite of the devil. Then climbed the kitchen window to land with a thud to the dusty wooden floor. The demon's home felt empty no longer full of the warmth and welcoming. The hearth dead and bleak with old ashes on the brick. Things were organized and the couch was covered with a sheet.
"Did you plan on coming back?"
The old echo of memories answered and it made sense what Sophie said, "Things happen we can not plan for and that's okay. What matters is how you keep going despite those obstacles. "
Claire knew Sophie would not fall as that was an inconceivable thought.
All while across the ocean was Sophie trapped in a metal coffin. The angry demon would not go down so easily. Tired, with such little energy to break out, and hungry the demon waited. The wait where humans would unravel what they brought with them.
Fear sat heavy in her throat as she watched her father tear through her room. She kept her back to the wall, arms pinned, like she'd been told to, wincing as her desk chair flew past her.
"Where is it?!"

Calm
The moment I write for myself and feel the peace. When feeling a certain way I go back to my works. Touched once more on the deeper way my feelings reach is so complete. Complete in myself.
I missed this feeling, this complete.
The time of absences of this feeling whole, where there was not a scar on my heart. My heart beats for me and me alone.

Sophie moved out of her cousin's house and decided to be alone for now. The people she was forced to leave behind had hurt. Penny, her mother, had decided it was in Sophie's best interest that she leave that primitive world behind. Sophie soon after went no contact with Penny and Peter. Peter is her twin brother and told Penny where to find her.
The jump between realities, universes, was not easy and similar to hitting a baseball on the moon. Peter was glad to have his twin back and soon realized things could not go back normal. Sophie was furious she wanted to stay there and make her future there, but like her mother pointed out,
"A world where you are the only one of your kind? What a lonely existence. Humans age and die, but you will not. Well, not the rate they do. This 'love' you feel for them as honest as it is will fade when they die. What will you do alone? Still so young and naive. Do not subject yourself to this imprisonment for humans that will die in less than 30 years."
Penny was right of course, but it was weird to get advice from an absentee mother. A mother Sophie detested and loathed. Then there was her cousin who was dealing with her own work and life partner. Ninette had not seen Sophie since she returned, but had called and texted every day twice a day. Ninette had apologized and provided money to Sophie so Sophie could buy a house anywhere she wanted. A life in France with land surround by cold fog, a cold like her heart had become. The unity Sophie once had is now gone forever. Levi, Petra, Erwin, Nanaba, Miche, Hange, Eld, Orulo, and the young promising cadets.
Tears fell from her face, hot fat tears slid down and there was nothing Sophie could do. The hands of a demon had saved their lives determined to fight a terrible fate; meet the finish life of their determined hearts.
Now, a broken heart was left.
Eld had once held her and with a soft touch of such a rough hand he kissed her. Sophie grabbed the lapels of his coat and felt the current between them. Years of working together had developed their relationship where he would stop and stare. The love soon bloomed but the responsibility to the people of Paradis got in the way.
Despite the demon's best interest the rumbling would still occur, yet the degree of devastation would not be so heavy. The end of titans. Though there would be peace for Paradis. For 100 years there would be peace, and just like human nature war would start once more.

Eld was leaving the coffee shop flattered by the woman who flirted with him, yet did not peruse due to just having left a relationship. A 2 year long relationship that ended in fire. The struggles of dealing with a relationship of the drama, the crazy, emotional manipulation, the mood swings, her depression, high energy, the high expectations she would have of him, poor judgement, etc. The list went on and he did try to be there for her, Penny, was an amazing person. Penny had chosen to end their relationship out of blue when she was manic; how she had begun to resent Eld and hated his face.
This next chapter of his life was to focus on himself.
Be alone for some time, get a hobby, look into getting a dog, clean out his place, and enjoy the peace of silence.

Give without taking.
Florence did not feel much for the boyfriend anymore, the disappointment was a weighted force. Upon looking at Evan did she realized he was selfish and a disappointment. The entitlement he had as if he was the most wonderful thing next to sliced bread.
Stupid.
Florence was at a nice restaurant by herself and it felt wonderful. The penne was delicious with her moscato. Was nice to treat herself because the ex never did.
A text was sent.
Florence : I am done. Never did I think I needed to ask a man to reciprocate. I am done feeling I am not worthy of an orgasm from you. I am done with your selfish behaviour. I am done with your fat ego; I do not cum because you came. Fucking idiot. Clearly I was wasting my time with you. All my time, affection, and attention was taken greedily, but where was mine? Know giving your ex-girlfriend an accidental orgasm does not count. Disgusting disappointment. What was the point of making fun of the noises I make while you are having your go on me? I felt embarrassed, humiliated, and began to truly hate you.
You do not make fun of your partner during sex. Have the most vulnerable part of me to be made into a joke. That wasn’t cute. That wasn’t funny you fucking idiot. Have fun blowing your own mini penne.
Delivered
Soon after to delete and block his number from her phone. Like that Florence was free from a loser. A bitter feel in her gut from it all. Turned off from men entirely. There was no point continuing a relationship with a man that was poisonous.
A man that came and would sleep right after leaving her ‘blue-balled’, and soon saw that doing more for a man that did not care for her was pointless. Their last meet was a dumpster fire.
When asking to reciprocate after he came he had the nerve to ask, “Now?”
Florence saw red, “No, next week! Are you nuts? Do you not think about how to make me cum? Just once?”
“That’s why I was asking.” Evan started to put his boxers on.
“You have to ask to give me oral after I gave you? Come on. Really? That’s your argument? I’m furious I have to ask for you to put your face in my crotch. It is as if you do not care. All the times we had sex you have shown little to no interest in returning.”
“We haven’t had sex though.” His green eyes looked so clueless.
Rolling her eyes to the next dimension, “Oral sex. Its still sex. Fucking idiot.” Evan rose from the bed though he was feeling the exhaustion and it showed on his face. Florence saw and didn’t care and felt so good to not care for his state of well being.
Not like in the morning he would reciprocate; to give and not take. On the off chance he would he would finger her and it felt just painful and any guidance was met with opposition.
Evan reached out for her, “Nah!” raising her hands stepping away, “You don’t care Evan. I’m gonna go.”
When Florence turned Evan grabbed her arm,
“Woah woah woah, please, Flo.” Evan moved to stand in front of her attempting to pull her in.
“Let go of me. I do not want you. Let go. I am leaving.”
A shove against him and pulling away.
Evan let her go he gave a huff through his nose. Too tired to fight her and the anger in her body made him wonder if he should have had a relationship with her in the first place. That and he knew she was inconsolable.
“Please let me make it up to you.” Evan reached a hand out to her.
She looked at his hand then straight in his eyes, a shiver ran down his back,
“No. I had to get pissed off for you to then want to eat me? Then you do not want to. Its fine if you do not want to, but we are not working.”
“Can we talk about it? Can I make it up to you please, Flo, don’t do this please. Let's have a conversation. ”
“Not now. I’m going home.”
Evan sighed and stepped away as there was no calming Florence down. Thoughts of how she was overreacting but telling her would be a sure fire way to end this relationship.
Florence grabbed her things and left. Not a second glance, no goodbyes, yet there was a slamming of his front door.
Florence entered her car and promptly locked it.
Sigh of relief.
Once home Florence muted her phone , locking her front door and taking a glass of wine or 3.

Sophie was sitting in the warm summer sun enjoying the heat on her skin. A demon enjoying a beautiful day, but without her brother her twin it hurt to be so peaceful in heart.
Sophie's bright fire hair glimmered in the hot sun, the humidity was high causing the mosquitoes to seek blood banks. The demon enjoyed the day but felt conflicted. Wondered if her twin was going through the separation well. Sophie wondered if everything /every choice made that got her here was worth it. Regret was like plague that was slowly taking over her heart and mind. Regret was a dark shadow / a great sadness/ that made Sophie wonder if should have done things differently.
Peter was not doing well, caring for his sister's house brought him pain. Peter saw pictures of their last get together; a heavy heart with her seemed difficult to pump each year. Conversations when they slept were short but he knew Sophie was alive and strong. Sophie's ex-boyfriend came looking for her but Peter told him to buzz off /like an annoying fly. The useless man looking to make amends with Sophie.
Jeeezus.
Peter was drinking a little more, while he cared more for his girl more to cope from the loss. Ran out of options on getting his sister out of that hell. Peter had to go to his mother and knew this would pain the both of them.

I think it needs to be said more that fic writers are not there to cater to a particular reader’s interests, and they shouldn’t be expected to. If you find a fic you enjoy, it’s because in that moment your interests overlap with the writer’s, not because they specifically created it for you, and it’s a healthy boundary to keep. Readers shouldn’t get insulted if the writer posts a fic that doesn’t align with their interests or fandoms; it’s not meant as a personal slight or anything, it’s just the writer writing for themselves, the way they’ve been doing all along.
It’s really easy to get invested in a fic or a writer and feel close to them because of it, or to have a lot of interests that align with a writer’s and make assumptions about how a fic is going to go/what they’re going to write because of it, but…not everything is for you specifically, and learning that makes things easier for everyone involved. It’s not a slight, and it’s not an insult. It’s just the Venn diagram of fandom and interests overlapping in some places but not others.
