Do NOT watch "How to make millions before grandma dies" if you are a big crier like me.

As someone who is VERY close to her grandma, this one was hard to end. Don't get me wrong It's beautiful and kinda funny (when you are not crying to death). It shows the dinamic in Amah's family when she's in a fase where all of her sons where distant, how she's afraid of not beeing visited even when she dies and all the plot just got me thinking about my grandmothers.

One of my grannies died of cancer when I was 13, just like the film, and the other lives in a apartament in front of me, that's why it was even harder and hit me so bad.

M started to visited Amah with the wrong intentions, just like her sons but It was incredible to watch the grandma and grandson dinamic. Seeing how our time is the best thing we can give to someone.

It took me more than 4 hours to watch, because I paused every scene that make me felt emocional or that I was about to cry, the movie ended and I kept crying for two more hours. I do think that if you didn't have contact with your grandparents you will not get it.

Lonely? I don’t know about that. but I dislike the days after chinese new year. the fridge’s full of leftovers and I have to eat them all alone.

You won't have to take care of me anymore.

I loved it and gave it 5 stars in letterboxd.

Vivre sa vie by Godart

Yesterday I finally watched "One million yen girl" and by the and of the film I caught myself looking for other movie with the same vibe, something like I'm in my twenties (kinda lost), looking for a meaning and then this movie called Vivre Sa Vie (1962) appeared. It was already in my watchlist and swear I spent almost 4 hours seaching for a subtitle.

It was worth spending hours researching. First of all, Anna Karina's beauty WOW like imagine beeing that beautiful. The scene at the cinema when Nana cry watching Joana D'arc beeing told that she will be burned at the stake was one my favourites parts. The other one was the whole conversation between Nana and the old guy about philosophy.

- and why should we express ourselves? to understand?

– we need to think, and to think, one must speak. there is no other way to think. and to communicate, one must speak. it is life.

It's a movie about freedom, existential responsibilities and life. And i can't explain how I felt in the end.

You know that type of film that you look for when you want to watch something calm and feel good? "It's a summer film" exist for that moment. It has teenagers making a movie, cute friendship moments, samurai, a little bit of a sci-fi and at the end all of that make my heart warm.
