I need to figure out how to take better photos of my sketches. Any tips? It doesn’t help that the paper in my sketchbook is so thin you can see the drawings on the other side :P I guess it looks cool.. Sunday Drive

I have been slacking hardcore :/ But in my defense, my website got hacked a couple weeks ago and I’ve been feeling down about it. But that’s no excuse!! Here’s a rather messy sketch.

Here’s the latest project I completed. It is a thank you gift I gave to my former African lit. professor. Each illustration is inspired from a book we read during the course. I’m not the happiest with the end result, but I had fun putting it together :) I can’t believe its June already O.O

I had the most fun doing this painting. I’m proud of all the distant layers :) It was definitely my most successful painting of the semester.

I didn’t post any wip photos of this one. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. It could definitely use a couple more layers. But for a time crunch painting it turned out okay :)

This painting was definitely my least favorite.. The layout and lack of a consistent color palette is probably what bothers me most. The wheat grass is what I’m most proud of :) I got some really good critiques from my professor and classmates. I’ve been experimenting with an alternate version in photoshop. Maybe I’ll post it later

I just realized its been 3 weeks since I last posted O.O Time gets away from me too easily... Anyways, I will soon be posting the final results from my painting class as well as the most recent project I finished. Art art art!
