This one goes out to “trying your best”, even if your best isn’t always your bestest best.
I have been doing a lot of growing for the past nine months. Maybe not rapid growing, linear growing, or the type of growing certain people in my life would want me to have; but I have been growing nonetheless.
I am proud of who I’m becoming and what I’m willing to offer in the present moment as an individual, but sometimes I’ll let self-sabotaging thoughts take over. The reason those thoughts appear is because I have let myself go in many ways - and maybe that’s very judgemental on myself, but I envision something better for myself and I certainly have not been trying my best to reach that better version of myself. Once again, my mind is set on walking a path of love and generosity, and a lot of self-discovery, but I cannot reach that until I let go of negative emotions that are raging within my soul and until I stop making excuses for myself.
For many years, I’ve struggled with loving myself - I feel like more people than we expect have this issue, in fact. On top of that, I was born an overly emotional soul. I’ve had my struggles with life, and sometimes I’ve let people get the best of me over something completely not worth it, but I’ve learned to overcome those difficult patches and to embrace the qualities that make me unique. I am in the process of learning myself- learning when to truly, authentically be and when to self-reflect on how I can improve and step out of my comfort zone. I think something we can all relate to is not grasping the idea that not everyone has to understand us. Upon this circumstance, we all react differently, and I feel like that becomes one of the most important instances to meditate and reflect on, if we desire to grow as people.
We are all so wonderful in our own, unique way. We all have the power to change our realities. I invite you guys to read the following segment out of a book I’m currently reading:
“When you transform your whole dream, magic just happens in your life. What you need comes to you easily because spirit moves freely through you. This is the mastery of intent; the mastery of love and gratitude, and the mastery of life. This is the path to personal freedom. Always do your best. No more and no less - but keep in mind that your best is never going to be the same from one moment to the next. Everything is alive and changing all the time, so your best will sometimes be high quality and other times it will not be as good. For example, when you wake up rested and refreshed in the morning, your best will not be the same as it would be at night, after a long day of work. Regardless of the quality, keep doing your best. No more, no less.” -Don Miguel Ruiz
So, let’s keep trying our best, without all the additional judgement, that is not needed. It depletes our energy and keeps us from obtaining our goals. Everyone is on their own journey to what they call success.

Guide to Chakras
What are Chakras?
Energy points located within the spinal chord that are housed in the innermost core of the Sushumna nadi, one of the main nadis (energy based “nerves”) in the pranamayakosha philosophy that originates from Hinduism. These energy centers in the body play an important role in physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Each chakra corresponds with and connects to a particular location within the physical body.
There are 7 chakras, which will be talked about individually, starting with the root chakra, or Muladhara, in the next post.
Understanding Chakras, we can:
- use physical symptoms to clarify the components of problems/illness.  - trace emotional issues back to the development of a certain part of our body or to the age it originated.  - isolate mental/spiritual beliefs that affect us. - better parent our own inner child. - create consciousness about where, how and why we get stuck in harmful habits, cycles and addictions.
If you plan on aligning your chakras, know this:
1. First you must identify/acknowledge the positive traits you have, which might be in need of recognition or revitalization.
2. Then you will uncover, understand and change self-destructive beliefs, patterns and programs.

Meditation is important // Meditar es importante
 ------------------------
Meditating hasn’t been easy, especially for me since I tend to be very reactive. I’m not saying I have a bad temper or that I’m aggressive. It’s just that I rarely respond to things in silence, or better said, in a reflexive modality. I’ve never been observant or detail oriented, neither have I been one to repress my feelings, and I’m thankful for that last one because that’s not the point of meditation. It’s simply about observing and accepting feelings and thoughts that go through me, while knowing that it’s just an instant. It’s just one situation and not my entire life. Nothing is simply black or white. Meditation eliminates duality, unnecessary struggle and anxiety. It permits us to face and accept ourselves just as we are, to then later work on being better if that’s what would make us happy. We become more conscious of our feelings, of our causes for suffering and the solutions to these problems when we come across real love that is capable of filling our heart’s empty gaps. We can heal💗We fear too many things to even understand that the power is within ourselves.

Your last post was very informative. Where can I get nettle herb in Miami?
I’m glad you thought so! Actually, I wasn’t sure because I’m not in Miami yet, but I looked online and there’s a Farm near Dolphin Mall that sells Nettle, amongst a whole bunch of other yummy things. The address that shows up is 1760 Nw 94th Ave. Here’s the number so you can ask if they have some available at the moment: (786) 999-8499. Love & light.

Hortiga (Español), nettle (English), urtica dioica (Latin)
Nettle is a plant that, in wild conditions, you may want to stay away from. Like poison Ivy (except nettle isn’t poisonous), it can be very invasive and when in contact with your skin, it may cause burning sensations or give you hives.
Nonetheless, the paradox of the previous statement is that nettle is actually used to treat many health related issues because of all the healing properties it has. It’s considered a trophorestorative and has been used as a medicinal herb since approximately 3 B.C.
One of the ways you can benefit from it’s healing properties is by consuming the herb in tea form. Before you can use the nettle, you have to make sure it’s dried up (this is how you know it won’t create any rash when in contact with your skin). A good trick to dry it up quicker is to grab a bunch of nettle, tie it together with a thin rope and hang it upside down from wherever you think is suitable.
All you have to do is take a few branches from the plant and put them in hot water until it starts boiling. Then you turn off the heat and leave the branches sitting in the water for about 5 minutes. Simple as that, nettle tea.
PROPERTIES:
Flavonoids (help stabilize mast cells to reduce large amounts of histamine), carotenoids, vitamin C, B & K1, sterols, triterpenes and minerals, such as calcium and magnesium.
USES:
This tea can help treat conditions such as UTI’s and promote weight loss, since it’s a rich diuretic. It can work as an antihistamine, helping with allergy or flu reductions and even serve as a decongestant. Also, it can assist as an anti inflammatory, aiding sharp muscle pain, swelling or joint problems such as arthritis. It’s said it can improve hair growth and is very well known to treat skin conditions such as hives, urticaria and eczema (nettle cream is great for this btw). Additionally, a Harvard study shows it contains potent antibacterial and antifungal activity.
You can consume 3-4 cups of nettle tea, making sure not to use more than 3 g of nettle for the making. Since it’s a diuretic, you’ll need to make sure to drink extra water afterwards to avoid dehydration. Also, if it’s your first time trying nettle tea, go easy! There are people allergic to the tiniest of things, so you’ll want to make sure you don’t get any reaction to it before starting to use it in larger amounts. Finally, don’t use if you’re pregnant, just because you never know what side effects may show up, due to the different corporal functions your body is going through.

He estado buscándome.
Namaste.

Focusing on losing belly fat
You’ve probably heard that there is no way to lose inches off an isolated area of your body. Even if you spend all of your time targeting one area with hardcore exercises, most likely you’ll just over work the region and stop seeing results in a very short amount of time. Nonetheless, there are tips on how to keep weight coming off, but still give some regions of your body a priority.
This post will be about the mid-section of your body, specifically your belly. By no means am I an expert! I’m just always on the lookout for solid tips and share the ones that have worked wonders for me. Photos of my physical change included.
Without further ado, here are my top tips for you:
Recommended exercises: bicycle crunches, planks, biking/spinning/jumping rope (while engaging abs and taking deep breaths the deep breathing helps create internal body heat which will help you get past the “dehydration” period of the workout and attack the fat)
Stop eating 3 &½ - 4 hours before going to bed.
Start your day with 1 L of water, before you eat your breakfast.
After breakfast, drink an energizer (natural energy drink). The most effective ones are infused waters and I recommend any berries for the energy boost. If you want to flush out even more toxins, lemon and orange infused water does the job.
Avoid eating that much meat. That way, your digestion will be cleaner, you will up your fiber intake (because meat is basically everything BUT fiber omg) and you’ll have a smaller amount of not so good fats for your body to store. I’m currently giving it my all to eat as many vegan meals as possible, but I’ve been eating more vegetarian lately. It doesn’t mean I want to label myself as a vegetarian, I just adore the creativity behind these dishes and enjoy how they make me feel, health wise and ethically. I haven’t had red meat in about 3 months, chicken in about 2 months, pork in about 3 weeks and seafood in about 2 weeks (I can’t get over calamaris). Even though I still consider I’m in a transitioning process, I have been able to lose weight faster because of this change. I’m never going back to the constant meat eating. Never ever.

SPORNCCHINI (spinach, corn and zucchini) PASTA
So delicious, nutritious and filling! My new go-to for a quick lunch or dinner, and of course the cheese is optional. (serves 2)
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup chopped up zucchini
1 cup spinach
1 cup of cooked corn grains
¾ of a pasta box (which serves approximately two people, but this is definitely up to you)
1 &½ tbsp black sauce
Salt & pepper (to taste)
1 &½ tbsp olive oil
Dijon Mustard
DIRECTIONS:
Cook pasta until al dente (this will take anywhere from 8-15 minutes depending on the type of pasta you choose to use)
While the pasta is being cooked, heat up a frying pan and add about 1&½ tbsp olive oil. After 1-2 minutes, add in the already cooked corn grains. As they develop a more yellowish color, add in the chopped zucchini. Here, you can start adding salt and pepper to taste, and add a little bit of dijon mustard to give the veggies a little kick. When these two have reached a nice brown-ness to the them, add the spinach, which takes the least amount of time to cook. Add a little more salt if needed.
When the veggies have been cooked and “bronzed”, add 1 &½ tbsp of black sauce. If your pasta is ready by now, drain it and add it onto your frying pan with your veggies. If it’s not ready, turn off the stove for a few minutes until it is.
Make sure your heat is on low once you add the cooked pasta into the veggie mix. You can use salad servers or any similar kitchen utensil to start mixing them together thoroughly.
Serve and top with parmesan cheese if you like.
ENJOY!
INGREDIENTES:
1 taza de zucchini picado
1 taza espinaca
DISFRUTA!
