Bruce Wayne has a massive bounty on his head at all times, multi millions of dollars constantly hanging above him when he goes out in public. Thus, he has his own personal guard when going to galas or charity events. Is it a conflict of interest that his personal guard is made up of his children and coworkers? Probably. Does he care? No.

At first, the public is concerned that a billionaire can "buy out" vigilantes, but it doesn't take long for someone to just... ask Nightwing to guard them for a night, and he agrees, not asking for payment. This eventually becomes little kids asking for Robin to 'guard them on their way to school' and folks begging Batman to 'guard their dog for the week' (Since when did The Mission become pet sitting???) (Obviously, he agrees, tho the little yippy pomeranian gets taken to Wayne Manor for the week instead, and Ace gets a temporary new friend)

A hotline gets set up so that anyone who feels unsafe can call a number and have one of the Bat Family members walk them home. It gets used a lot by drunk college students, women, and kids who stayed up past curfew.

Scared little kid, barely able to reach the payphone, using their last quarters: Um... I n-need.. Robin.. p-please.. I'm really scared... its really d-dark... my house is far away...

Second movie review of the evening, which fucking WHORE was in charge of labelling ‘The Terminal’ with Tom Hanks as a fucking comedy. I sobbed my eyes out after putting it on bc I needed a nice comedy to help the fact I’d been feeling super ill today.

WRONG MF CHOICE CLEARLY. why tf was everyone so mean to him?? Generally I dislike main male characters bc they usually do at least one thing that just makes them weird at best or a sexual deviant at worst. But this dude was so sweet and everyone knew he couldn’t understand a word being said to him.

When he saw on the news for the first time what had happened to his country while he’d been on the flight I was teary, when I saw that bald headed fuck threatening his friends I started bawling bc it’s so upsetting to me😭😭 and when the janitor literally ran in front of a plane to give him a chance to fulfill his dead dads wish🥲🥲🥲

Like it was a lovely movie and I genuinely loved it, and Tom hanks’ character was genuinely so endearing. HOWEVER… whatever HOOLIGAN, whatever ASSHOLE was overseeing the genres….. your days are soooo limited it’s not even funny.

I’ve been building my universes for so many years I do not have the faintest clue where I’d even start with writing all that shit down

I have multiple versions of my OC, sort of like multiverses but with minor tweaks to each one to fit whatever narratives I wanted for each specific plot. Basically I just can’t commit to actually writing a character and keeping to it😭

The worst is when I want to write a one off fic with this OC in it but how do I let the reader know the context which I’ve been carefully curating almost my entire life 😔 like yes she can do that because of this incredibly specific event which really deserves a whole fic of its own but she’d never have had that event if not for this other piece of expose that also needs a whole fic and then there’s the other that deserves a wh

By this point most of the league had gathered to watch the video playing on Barry’s phone.

“I saw a video of Superman carrying an oil tanker yesterday, I’m kinda scared that he’d like… accidentally kill me? But, I guess it’ll be worth the experience. Smash.”

Clark's distraught face elicited snickers from a few of his comrades.

“I would never accidentally kill somebody while…doing that. And that doesn’t even make sense, Diana and J’onn have super strength too!”

The two in question only shrug in response and Clark wondered if he should bring this up with Lois later.

“Are you having fun?”

Everyone flinches like they've been caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Even J’onn. Batman walks out of the shadows with his arms crossed, scowl clear on his face.

“Oh, Bats your one's coming up!”

Barry gestures him over, too dumb to know fear.

“I can’t believe some people think Batman is a normal guy and not a meta-human. Have you seen the shit he can do? Ridiculous. Anyway, smash.”

The justice league look to each other and nod in agreement. Bruce questions his life choices.

"Why am I the only pass!?"

Barry answers Hal with a placating pat on the shoulder.

"Arthur was also a pass."

Just been to see the fantastic four movie…… marvel what was that plot 😃

They took a movie with the most insane set and costume design I’ve ever seen from a more modern movie, took likable, well rounded characters with tons of personality, and gave us pro life propaganda tied with a blue and white ribbon.

Maybe the superman movie raised my expectations or MAYBE marvel is simply being used to control public perception of what is good and what is bad. MAYBE marvel have been on a conservative wave since the beginning but the clear downfall began with the inclusion of a character that never should have existed in the first place. S*bra was the abomination that precluded how I should have known this movie would go from the beginning.

It’s so upsetting bc there were so many elements of the movie that I really loved. Like with superman, human lives and accountability for destruction were at the forefront, and there was colour and personality to it. the banter between Johnny and Ben for instance. I loved the little robot and the silver surfer was SO UNBELIEVABLY COOL.

But to have sue’s entire character reduced to her status as ‘mum’ and nothing else was not only disappointing but a reflection of what our governments want to bring back in our society. There was not a single moment in that movie where Sue was just herself. The opening scene was her finding out she was pregnant, and even as I watched that scene I remember thinking, “wow, they’re gonna have to work hard to spin this in a way that won’t just be pro life propaganda”.

This movie is depressing, which is so sad because like I said, there are so many elements that I genuinely loved. That being said, everyone please go watch superman and if you haven’t already seen it, give fantastic four a miss. Or just, yk, pirate it 💞

Genuinely hearing this made me want to go home just so I could see my dog again like dyk how much i fw héroes that i can personally relate to? Like yeah my dog can be the biggest pain in the ass but also like he’s just my dog at the same time? I fear this is turning into a rant ab how much I love my dog but the idea of superman having the same mentality as me over smth so normal makes me happy :/

This is why James Gunn’s version will always be better, superman is superman bc at the end of the day he’s just a guy. A guy with a tiring job who tries his best and has a dog that tests his patience every day (yes technically it’s Kara’s dog but he said himself he was fostering so I’m allowing it💞)
