Had some kind of scary dream last night where there was someone with a weapon and I was running through a parking garage. Then out of nowhere I heard the @socpens soundboard fart ound echo through the area. I turned around and scorpy was laughing and I realised "oh everything's fine this is just a funny scorpy commentary on a scary movie."

Wings and flying are a constant in my dreams, but in recent years there seems to be an odd trend of me having 2 pairs of wings. These 2 wings were short, black and feathered. I couldn't feel them or move them, they just flopped on my shoulders or down my back. In the dream I asked a friend if I should get that seen to cause it didn't seem normal to have a random set of droopy wings appear on your back out of nowhere.

Somewhat reminiscent in shape, to the pair of fairy wings from a different dream I previously posted.

Wut?

I often make quick notes on my phone when I wake up of what I remember of dreams. Usually I'll go back later and write them up properly but other times I really don't have much to work with.

This is a note I wrote late last year:

"The seedlot. Giant pumpkin. Fake added people suspicious. Clare suspicious. Friend lived there now seedlot. Diner inside giant pumpkin. Growing in town. I was really sure about that pumpkin hahaha! Everything else? No idea. No context left.

Little fairy wings I had in a dream. They kept flickering out and disappearing and a secret fae council that lived in a shitty tower block flat were helping me figure out why. This was the same dream as the completely out of context quote of "Ghost law school".

Direct quote from a dream last night with absolutely no context. "No, in Indonesia the speak Sudanese." Google tells me there isn't really a language called Sudanese, but Sudanese is a form of Arabic. So... wrong on many levels dream brain.

Oddly specific outfits/clothing from different dreams. A) a summer dress I wanted to buy from a weird shop that kept changing layout as I was walking through it. A watermelon scarf I wanted to buy from a cheap clothes store but the price had been crossed out so many times on the label I couldn't figure out how much it was.

B) wearing a "maid like" dress with "weird puffy sleeves like litle chefs hats". I was carrying a giant syringe filled with poison which I was going to use to poison an evil CEO's cupcake icing with. C) A random superhero in an oddly superhero filled dream which included characters from Marvel, DC, TMNT, Heroes and original characters like this guy and a woman called "The Emperor's Daughter". School trauma dream season finale?

I'm really hoping I've reached the end of a specific arc of my recurring dreams ha-ha! For the last 6 months or so I've been having dreams where I had to go back to school. For context I fucking hated secondary/high school. These dreams are almost always stressful and unpleasant and sometimes I'm even self-aware like "WHY DO I HAVE TO GO TO HIGH SCHOOL I'M IN MY 3Os!?" But still I have to go and still I'm miserable. Mostly I figured this was a reflected anxiety to do with problems I was having with the place I've lived and worked seasonally for the last 3 years. Once I resolved to change it they seemed to ease up a bit, until last week when I had one of the most stressful and unhappy version of the dream to date. I was pleading with my parents to not make me go and to let me somehow do the work from home but they didn't help me. Ngl I was a bit pissed since I've sorted the real life thing that I thought was causing these stress dreams but now I still have to put up with the stress. But last night I had a dream that it was the last day of school (the school is almost never the same BTW. Usually somewhat similar to my real secondary school but twisted and extended like an alternate universe version of it....This time it was a small 1/2 room concrete building on a grassy airfield). I finished my final class and hugged my friend goodbye before heading off on my travels. So fingers crossed, maybe that's the "32 YEAR OLD HAS TO GO BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL AND RELIVE THEIR TRAUMA" arc over... please?

Some enemies from a dream where I was a super hero called Grey Skull and my secondary school was run by an evil government organisation that I had to fight to escape. From 2011. ....tell me you hated high school without telling me you hated high school.

Random bit of a dream I had where there were dragon creatures who wore masks. Their masks coordinated with the colour of their fur. Don't think there was really any story or context to it. From 2019.

The recurring dream theme of roadside dinosaurs. This one was definitely inspired by a birdlike dinosaur that was at a tourist attraction I went to a lot as a kid. Even in the dream I noticed that the tail was unrealistically long and thin for a creature. There was a train of dinosaur models and I was riding on the back of one out of the sea.... One model wasn't a dinosaur but a flipflop for some reason.

Some layout diagrams of a weird little game I had to play in a cage in a dream and, much more importantly: GOLDEN SPICE! One of the cutet things I've seen in a dream. I very friendly capricorn with stringy, wet golden doodle type fur, goat horns and dog paws. It was super friendly and almost jumped on me in the shallow water despite being very soggy and splashing water. Cuuuuuute. From 2014.

Oh and the little things in the left corner were diagrams of new elements someone discovered.

Strange big deer animal I saw in a BIG long (and mostly unrelated) dream back in 2011. Maybe I'll get around to writing that dream up properly sometime to put up here. There was lots of cool imagery and weird things Im not sure I could explain, including the dream being a 3rd movie in a trilogy. It took 90 minutes just to write the dream down the next morning cause it was so long. I think to this day its one of the longest I've remembered and written down. From 2011.

A cute creature I got to play with in a dream. In the dream I was told it was some kind of baby griffin, but was part bird and part dog instead of part lion. It had short brown red hair like a vizsla dog and acted like a playful silly puppy. Had small little stubby ears on its head and a long strong tail like a hound dog. It was a very nice dream. A weird giant piece of machinery I was very scared of in a dream. It was some kind of pump or some part of a tin mine. It was around 30ft tall? It went up and down when the mine was moving. Probably inspired in some way by real life mining equipment as I grew up in Cornwall. No idea why it instilled such intense fear in me in this dream but I could barely look at it let alone get any closer to it. From 2010

NGL seeing this thing in a nightmare proper shit me up. It stared me directly in the face. I threw a chopstick at it. Missed. And then it disappeared. It could also fly. The black silhouette is how it looked in the sky. It flapped its arms like a bird and used the big cobweb hands at the end as wings. This was one of those weird dreams where it was in like ultra HD and felt very real. Not a cute fluffy cuddly dream, no. I get to see the demon monsters, helicopter crashes and cities exploding in HD. Thanks Brain. From 2014
