American liberals and their lack of self awareness, susceptibility to fall head over heels with military propaganda, inability to self reflect, latent Islamophobia and stubbornness or outright inability to educate themselves on the political history of the Islamic world is exactly what's holding the rest of the American left back and stopping real fundamental societal change from happening.

We're seeing pre-Iraq War history repeating itself (not rhyming, verbatim, repeating itself) before our very eyes and all we have to show for it is: "Iran's gonna see why Americans don't have free healthcare 💅".

it’s actually so fucking insane to me that leftists can hold the belief that white people, due to their socialization in a racist society, are all inherently racist to some degree and need to constantly be checking themselves and doing work to be actively anti-racist.

but those same people would be sending rape and death threats if I said that male people, due to their socialization in a misogynistic society, are all inherently misogynistic to some degree and need to constantly be checking themselves and doing work to be actively feminist, even if they identify as women.

I fear the "Trumpette" Choir underestimates how much the capitalist class despise labor rights and unions, and just full on hates workers to a deplorable degree, that they, (and by they I mean BIG BUISNESSES Because there's no way a mom and pop shop will be able to afford your wage without completely underpaying you if they havent lost their business yet) , would rather continue going about the cheaper option, outsource manufacturing, pay the tariffs, and hope and pray, and pray and hope, and manifest, and reality hop, and sage and pray and hope to GAAAAWWWWD that brand loyalty will be enough for you all to forgive the 40 dollar can of folgers coffee. No "bringing back jobs" required.

And time and time again, they've been proven right, because so long as your very vague idea of "the left" is still mad about your inability to self-reflect. Why not?

I am at peace understanding and still learning about the full inner machinations of capitalism and it's contradictions. 😊

Sometimes I imagine what it was like for Jaune getting ready in the mornings with 7 sisters.

Would there even be enough space for his stuff on the sinktop? Would he have to bring all of his toiletries to and from the bathroom every single time cause he knows there's no room?

He would have to wake up early if he wanted to shave and get ready in peace. Would he have to deal with the constant drama of who stole who's face scrub or the fights after one of his sisters mixed up the cyan and light blue toothbrushes?

Would he clean up after his baby sisters and try to keep the area neat, or would he just quickly get in and out before the daily chaos?

re: hand rolled cigarettes, per our discussion in the fanfic group:

1. What's it like when a cigarette has been rolled well vs poorly - differences in taste, appearance? and differences to pre-rolls?

2. how common is it to add flavors like menthol, cloves, chestnut, etc? does it taste better than pre-rolled flavored cigarettes?

3. are there any stereotypes or cultural associations with hand-rolled cigs that are common among smokers more generally (i.e. is it considered snooty or frugal?)

First thing, sorry for late replay just had dinner.

1. Okay so depending on the year and the area rolling ciggerates can be a skill someone learns as early as 13 years old. Its very very easy to tell a "per rolled" (just a normal ciggerate you buy from a store) to a "hand-rolled". Normal ciggerates will have a logo, a line going around the base of the tobacco or they will have orange paper over the "filter" (small white sponge where you suck the smoke through).

Hand rolled will tend to be thinner because you can control how much tobacco is inside and the filter will be much smaller and thinner. A well rolled ciggerate will be tightly packed with little tobacco sticking out the top and if you roll a few in one sitting then all the ciggerates will look the same. A poorly rolled ciggerate will be either too thin or too thick in places and will not be perfectly straight when held up. As for taste, smokers are particular about what brand of tobacco, the different type of paper is more about how it feels on the lips and how long it burns for.

2. When it comes to per rolling adding flavour isn't that common, it could be a special thing that you try but it would rarely be someone's go to when making it themselves. You can get filters that taste of mint, you can get fruit and candy flavoured skins and you can get a special little device that shoots mint oil into any ciggerate that you buy.

I worked in a gas station and one guy always got mint filters but that's it.

3. Depending on the country and time there are many associates with per rolling but one I always see is rolling is cheaper, gives more control over tobacco and that lots of them will miss it with hash or weed. I've heard once or twice that rollers can be snooty but that's more the rich people buying the very expensive tobacco, most of the time it's frugal people who hand roll to stay in budget or to mix it with other drugs.

Also this is a huge thing I never see people talk about, pouch tobacco is more moist, shredded and rich then the dry stuff in per rolled so it leaves a strong smell of tobacco leafs on your fingers and sometimes even a small brown stain.
