My friend who introduced me to the Shuffles app advised me to “lean into the chaos,” so this is my second attempt at my Frenchie collage.

Spanish Jackie, what an impressive woman!

She could be scary and she could be funny, but she was always so imposing! A true businesswoman that got the respect she deserved, because she would not accept it any other way.

And her outfits! Costume really loved Leslie, because those different outfits and looks they made for her? Always amazing!

Jackie was the person that Izzy ran to when he was banished and that speaks volumes to me. Izzy really trusted her. He was heartbroken and angry and where else would he go? To Jackie's to pour his heart out and whine about his captain having a new co-captain. Also a very sexy entry, Iz, but sorry, I digress.

The fact that when Izzy came to her with the most horrible terrible not so good plan to get rid of the Gentleman Pirate, still she said yes definitely convinced me that they are besties and I really like to write them in my fics that way.

Calico Jack time!

OK, let's be honest, the man was SO annoying... which clearly was what they were aiming for, so well done, Will Arnett! 😁

This is one of those times I have to admit I like a character only because of what the fandom did with him in fics. 'Calico Jack is a simp for Izzy Hands' is truly a tag I love and the reason why in the end I like the character, I guess. But to be completely honest, the seeds of that are canon and very clear to see because who agreed to help Izzy with his stupid plan (aside from Jackie)? Yep, Calico Jack.

"The sentimental bastard wanted me to get you out of there before the English showed up."

That's a line that really caught my attention the first time I watched that ep (1x08) because 'sentimental bastard'? Sentimental?? Izzy Hands?? Well, considering I didn't like Izzy much until I watched ep 1x09 and saw his little, pathetic hand-wave (you know the one, right?), this line was a bit confusing, but it helped me to reframe Izzy's whole character after ep 9 when I went 'Ooooohhh, he just wants his husband back!' (OK, I was a bit slow on that, don't judge me, I was distracted by Ed and Stede's wonderful love story).

So, as I was saying, I like that we made a place for Jack in our fics where he offers his support to Izzy and/or pins for the man like a champ while still being the annoying arsehole that he always was ♥️

I want to thank you all so much for hanging out these last few months (months! Can you believe that?) as we celebrated our love of not just a single character but an entire show and the stories of camaraderie and friendship we found there.
