My new drawing for #wcw is @andreariseborough as the titular character Mandy, from Mandy (2018). Andrea Riseborough plays Mandy, the ethereal artist who lives in the the woods with her love, Nicolas Cage. She spends her days working in the local store, reading eccentric books, drawing fantastic mindscapes, walking in the woods, and laughing directly in the face of male-centric evil. She is a master at comedy, anger, sadness, and fear. From one of my childhood favorites, The Fantastic Adventures of Unico (1981-1983) a story of a small unicorn who is banished by the gods, due to his special power of making everyone around him happy. The West Wind takes pity on him and hides him away in dark new lands. He makes friends with demons, cats, and witches, only to eventually leave them before the Night Wind finds him.
