The rot isn't the only disease that infects Five Pebbles. However, this decaying parasite atop the iterators structure infects his ideals, his goals, his ambitions, his freedom as it is a bleak reminder of the dead civilisation he is a prisoner to, forced to scramble to fix a problem no left alive will care about, Five Pebbles existence is nothing but a cruel joke.

The ruined building makes you think, nothing can truly be lost or destroyed. The sins the Ancients tried to rid, to atone for when ascending never truly went away. It now festers in this purgatory and its suffering inhabitants and these towers lost to time serve as a reminder of their careless abandonment. Each block of the skyscrapers had been lived in, people cried, laughed and loved in every one. Was it worth it to leave that humanity behind for a messed up sense of fulfillment through ascension?
