I’ve been cackling about this for like five minutes now

ok i’m just gonna say it. i miss the marvel netflix shows. the fact that they traded jessica jones, luke cage, and daredevil (you know why i’m not mentioning iron fist) for the falcon and the winter soldier, wandavision, and a loki show is genuinely insulting to viewers.

how do you go from shows with no world-ending stakes that deal with real world problems on a ground level, characters with trauma they need to heal from handled respectfully and genuinely frightening villains to sky beams, quips, queerbaiting, and military propaganda? no mcu show is gonna talk about injustice in the prison system. no mcu show is gonna deal with the aftermaths of brainwashing and r*pe. no mcu show is gonna bring up how unfair the legal system is and the debate between justice with violence versus court of law justice in the raw way that daredevil did or how disability affects how others see you every day of your life. like the punisher was about a macho man ex-marine and it was never military propaganda. the punisher was straight up showing marines committing actual real war crimes and it never once defended that.

continuing to dumb down content is awful, the mcu is never gonna have what the marvel netflix universe had, and i’m pissed abt it.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

one of my favorite things about the black widow movie is how it completely destroys the "bUt cLiNt HaD a FaMiLy" argument because guess fucking what??? natasha had TWO.

the first shot of natasha in the mcu is her walking towards us and the last is her walking away from us

I just love the myth of Persephone, i mean the real, original version of it, because it’s not like she got kidnapped, no, this bitch was la-de-da-ing in a meadow and she just happened to find an entrance to the Underworld and she was like “Imma check this out”. And she just wanders into the Underworld and discovers that hey this place ain’t too bad.

Meanwhile Hades is in the background “????? UM??? PRETTY GIRL??? WHY ARE YOU HERE?????? YOU AREN’T DEAD???” 

And Persephone (who was originally called Kore just a little fyi) just looked at him and said “I like it here. I’m staying.”

And Hades kinda just went with it, until Demeter started throwing the temper tantrum of the millenium upstairs and Zeus had to intervene because this shit was getting out of hand and its actually his job to be admistrator of justice. Which considering the shit he gets up to is kinda histerical but that’s another story there. 

And basically Persephone wasn’t a prisoner or kidnap victim at all she just really loved the Underworld and her (eventual) husband, and the Greeks feared her arguably more than her husband because Hades could be reasoned with but Persephone was the one laying the smack down on sinners, and really, who wouldn’t be at least a little scared of someone who’s name means something along the lines of “the destroyer”

Basically, Persephone is amazing and everbody needs to get on her level
