I walked in a store to purchase some journals and this one was very stricking: How many times have we let fear rob us from achieving a goal?...rob us from pursuing a new contract, a client, opening that new business, starting a family, starting that healthy lifestyle. I can not personally count how many times I have let fear rob me of opportunities ( in business, in relationships, in finances, etc.) Truly, what are we afraid of? Or what were we afraid of? Fear is truly just an emotion that we build inside of us that appears "real" Today, let's commit to walk with boldness into our destiny. We have to remember failure is an event and not a person. To have/acquire is one thing, but to apply is another. What good is information to us if we do not put it to practice? We can go to seminars, conferences, financial management classes, trainings, etc. year in and year out but if we don't practice the information we've just acquired then it won't have the power to change us. Let's take it up a notch, what good is the Word of God to us if we choose not to practice it? We can sit in bible study every day, attend conferences, but if we do not apply the Word and let the Word work in and through us then our "going to church" would be in vain. I am not where I would like to be yet but I am definitely not where I used to be. I saw #size8 on my pants and my ❤ was full of joy as is if it was the first time I see it ( I have been wearing these jeans for awhile now). Some times it is moment like this, that reminds you of how far you have come, even though there is still a journey ahead. There has been times when I felt like I haven't made any progress, or felt like I have gained all the weight back and I would feel like giving up, then I would see a picture like this and it will make all the difference. And this is relevant also in many areas of our lives (ministry, career, family, school, sports, skills, etc.). There are moments when we feel like we have not made any or enough progress because we are not where we "think" we should be. If only we knew that we are exactly where God would have us be ( AT THE CENTER OF HIS WILL). If we would focus less on the destination (goal) and focus more on the process (the person we are becoming) it would change a lot of things. Also, along the way we often tend to forget or neglect small victories because we are so focused on the destination. Please take notes of your small victories. They will encourage and motivate you in moments of doubt.
