I don't remember what it was, but I decided that Kiwi birds needed to be Lupus Ex Machina's mascot. I always thought they were adorable and pudgy and outlandishly obscure compare to something more common. ...like a dog.
Kiwi birds stood out, but were simple. They're simple creatures that are territorial and make burrows instead of nests- I imagined the kiwis could make little garbage burrows in alleyways and lay their eggs.
It just fits!

Shit is getting awesome.
Hello, hello, hello!
Okay, here’s the straight up tea. Lupus Ex Machina is past the halfway point in terms of developing the prologue. The rest of the work is literally just drawing and animating. I had a bad habit of making shit take fuckin EONS to complete, but after some behind-the-scenes drawing practice; I draw so much faster now, and this is gonna help a million later on.
I’m G U N N I N G for July. This is in no way shape and/or form set in stone, but I’m trying my godsdamn best to launch in July. Worst case scenario, it gets pushed back to August. I’d much rather have that *not* be the case, but if it *is* what happens, I won’t complain... ...that much.
I also wanna take a small second to say that I’m definitely more active on Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok than Tumblr or YouTube. The reason is because Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok are crazy trending social media platforms and having King Delta Productions on there will help my brand more than before.
Tiktok (@deltachawkins) is mainly for shitposts, art, small announcements and animations.
Instagram (@king_delta_productions) is more for visual updates, videos, and moderate announcements.
Twitter (@KingDeltaProdu1) will be more for small updates and answering questions.
Tumblr (kingdeltaproductions-blog) will be used for larger, more in-depth announcements.
YouTube (King Delta Productions) is primarily for trailers, teasers, and occasional videos.
So with my social media back alive, Lupus Ex Machina launching this year, and my career FINALLY GOING SOMEWHERE- I’m one happy camper. But, I can’t lose sight of my work. I don’t need to focus on finishing, I need to focus on doing.
Have a blessed day, and may the gods smile upon you!

Woooow it’s been a long time-
Okay, so, I’ve been spending most of my time on Instagram when it came to Lupus Ex Machina content, and it honestly has been absolutely fucking rOUGH keeping things consistent, so here’s the tea.
This damn game is gonna burn me out if I work on it from start to finish. The ENTIRE game. And during that time, I have to juggle social media and keeping things interesting long enough until it’s done and released. I know now that it is impossible for just one man to do all of that. So, I’m gonna take my custom sword and slash the workload furiously by doing something I haven’t done before.
Lupus Ex Machina is now EPISODIC!
The prologue to Lupus Ex Machina was originally planned to be the demo for the game. This is now no longer the case, considering the episodic approach to this project. Instead, the prologue will be added on over time with downloadable chapters. Allowing me to only have to tackle one chapter at a time and have it be playable and available for the public to enjoy.
This is a good thing! Because now, I feel the weight of this project lift off of my shoulders and instead start laying down the brick road toward making this game a finished product. My dream is to someday see people cosplay my characters and make fan art and all sorts of fandom stuff- Now that Lupus Ex Machina is episodic, I can actually make this work. REASONABLY.

What's in store for Halloween 2k18 from King Delta Productions?
Due to a bus crash of artist and writer block, I'm having to chain myself to an 18-wheeler of determination to burn through projects to make good timing before Halloween.
This isn't entirely a bad thing, as I've also been feeling out the vibes on what needs to be done and what is currently done.
For the most part, Lupus Ex Machina's Full Prologue Demo is playable, however animated cutscenes and certain graphics need to be drawn and implemented. Luckily, I've managed to resolve a largely annoying setback that killed the game's frame rate.
Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached is still in building phase, however basic gameplay will take little time to throw together, as the main gameplay HUD is already fully functioning, and vastly improved from a past build.
As for Nightwatchers, the footage and opening are already together. Now all I need is to binge work my chilean ass off. I also want to confirm that a new hunter will be featured after Episode One. That being said, it's more realistic for me to binge work on Nightwatchers than Lupus Ex Machina, as I'll more than likely be able to get the former done a lot sooner than the latter.
Taking the holiday season into perspective, I have a gut feeling that I can manage to finish one project per holiday. Nightwatchers' Series Premiere will be on Halloween, Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached can be on Thanksgiving, and Lupus Ex Machina's Full Prologue Demo can be released on Christmas. My greatest hope is that these will be finished and released a lot sooner, but with enough hard work and energy drinks, something's gonna get done!

-Lupus Ex Machina's main city Norman has been changed to a fictional city renamed "Fenrir City, Oklahoma."
-The shopping mall has been extended into a district full of businesses and NPCs, rather than a stagnant single building.
-Several rooms and buildings have been redone.
-Portrait sets for Tyler, Nate, and Thor have been redone and finalized. Damien's portrait set is still in the works.
-The cabin survival minigame has been completely redone, and features a radar.
-Characters will now dodge attacks during combat, dodge chances are affected by a character's equipped weapon(s).
-The shopping mall has been renamed Galvanz and has an arcade with playable arcade games.
-Difficulty settings have been fully implemented.
-Release dates for Lupus Ex Machina's Demo and Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached have been removed, and each title will be released when they are stable and complete. Updates will be periodically made once a month.
-Thor's eyes may change from Red to Gray, as part of his updated design.
-The majority of Lupus Ex Machina's soundtrack has been replaced with original compositions by Delta himself. The only exception being the game's title screen theme song, as it was composed by Kane Carter; and is not planned to be replaced at the moment.
-Gamepad support is currently functioning for both Lupus Ex Machina and Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached.
-Lupus Ex Machina's Demo and Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached is planned to be released on Gamejolt, IndieDB, and Itch.io. Releases on Steam may be available later in the future.

Back from hiatus!
After the finalized filming of the Nightwatchers Series Premiere on Friday the 13th, we now have usable footage and accessible means to burn through making the first episode of Nightwatchers!
In addition to that, Lupus Ex Machina's finalized demo is getting completed chunk-by-chunk, and everything is astonishingly falling into place. Lupus Ex Machina's final demo will have difficulty settings, more minigames, more explorable areas, a new boss fight, and newly animated cutscenes!
And with that said, I really badly needed that hiatus, as I now have the drive and means to make even greater content. And as for release dates... well... Things will be done when they're done! :D
Feels good to be back!

My problem with release dates.
Okay, something that I need to address is that I am terrible with keeping up with release dates. The main reason is that I've been so busy with my day-to-day that I sometimes have to sacrifice time in order to make sure I get something done. I absolutely despise seeing my effort to keep a consistent workflow become thwarted by the simplest of tasks. So rather than dead-set release dates, I'm opting for release windows that give me a reasonable amount of leg room to work and release, while giving my viewers and players expectations that can be satisfied.
Please understand that I am a learning entertainer. And while it may seem like I'm struggling to provide, I will say for certain that I have not stopped on any projects. The Lupus Ex Machina comic and extended demo are still in the works, and so is the Nightwatchers premiere. I do plan to have Nightwatchers have its premiere in mid to late April, and with some huge changes in my life, I've had a generous amount of time to work on projects.
Come hell or hot oil, I will provide.

Small delay on Lupus Ex Machina's Extended Demo
Unfortunately, due to my busy schedule, I've fallen behind on last minute touches for Lupus Ex Machina's Extended Demo. However, this can be remedied.
Tomorrow, I will be releasing new merchandise on RedBubble. The extended demo was planned to accompany this, but I'll simply need a little more time. I'll be releasing the extended demo sometime next week, come hell or hot oil.
I apologize for this inconvenience.

Where is Lupus Ex Machina: All Strings Attached?
I had to delay beta testing to tale care of such much needed work outside of game development, so I haven’t had the chance to really bust a move, and get work done. I am happy to say that LEM:ASA will be beta testing today. After that, all I’ll need is to make 2 short cutscenes, do some graphics work on Thursday and Friday, and then I can release it. Honestly, Lupus Ex Machina’s free content will be open to the public on Gamejolt.
