Head canons of Hermes with Female, Stand user, S/O who almost dies protecting her! (Warning; Cursing, Angst, Blood, Crying, Violence, etc.) Spoilers for the end of Stone Ocean! For @murcx04 💕💖💗

You hear a shout of your name, but barely even process it.

- You’re panting, shaking, and in pain, yet, your resolve still burns like a star. 

- A searing hot flash of agony washes over you, making your muscles twitch, but still, you try to stand to your feet. The colors and sounds around you blur into one motion, your focus being on the warping figure in the sky.

- Right now, the entire fight is up to Jolyne and her father, but yet you feel as if you have to do more.

- You’re covered in cuts, bruises, sores, and wounds, some of which were intended for Hermes. 

- Everything you’ve done is for her. To protect her as much as possible. But now, the consequences of your actions are catching up to you.

- The corners of your vision blur and darken, a fuzz taking over your brain. At this point, the sharp pain has turned into a dull throb in the back of your head.

- “Pucci... you bastard..” Your voice is dry and hoarse, barely above a whisper. A bubbling feeling arises in your throat, and you're overtaken by a coughing fit.

- A iron-tasting liquid fills your mouth and you quickly spit it out, grimacing.

- There’s so many noises and sights around you, but you can’t process it. All you know is that you're tired. Very, very tired.

- Your knees give out, causing you to drop to the ground with a ‘thud’. Your cheek presses into the dirt, but you can't move a single muscle. Your head is so fuzzy. 

- Your eyes slowly flutter shut. Then, there’s nothing.

- “H-Hey! Babe! Wake up..! It’s over, c’mon! We won!”

- It’s dark, completely and utterly dark. You’re not sure if your hearing sounds or if you’re even awake for a moment.

- Then, a searing flash of pain resonates throughout your body.

- Instantly, you remember everything that had happened. Your eyes fly open not even a second later.

- You’re greeted by the sight of Hermes face, which is twisted into concern, and you can see the way they’re glazed over with tears.

- “Hey..” Your voice is so terribly scratchy, you sound like a dying cat. A small, bitter sweet smile still spreads across your cracked lips. Everything hurts so bad, but at least Hermes is alive.

- Hermes' face moves into one of shock, relief, and then worried relief. Almost immediately, she leans down, placing soft kisses onto your face.

- A warm, tingling sensation spreads throughout your cheeks and ears. Even after getting your ass whooped, she manages to make you blush.

- “You bastard! I thought you died on me!” Her voice is loud, and it makes your head throb. Though, something wet drips onto your forehead.

- You look up, and she’s crying. Tears roll down her cheeks, tinted black from her mascara. 

- A clenching sensation spreads throughout your chest, a feeling of guilt washing over you. You’ve never been good with crying, and seeing her cry felt even worse. 

- As you look closer, you notice multiple cuts and bruises over her arms and face, and there’s no shortage of blood stains.

- “I’m sorry…” Your words barely leave your lips before you bust out into a coughing fit, Hermes beginning to rub your back.

- You let out a groan, your head pounding. You feel hot, and oddly sticky. Your eyes struggle to stay open through all the throbs and aches.

- Hermes gently shushes you, more tears falling from her eyes. 

- You reach out a hand, your thumb gently brushing the tears from her eyes.

- “I love you.”

- “I love you too, Hermes.”
