it's very sad to me that John and Kyle's relationship is kind of erased in favor of attributing things to Hal (or even Guy??). when, at least in Kyle's original GL run, Kyle very much idealized and held himself to standard of Hal's image but Hal himself was full villain mode for most of that time. it was John who was Kyle's mentor figure and connection to past GLs, and most importantly one of his closest friends and they really trusted/confided in each other and also just hung out all the time! it really sucks to see both recent GL comics and fanworks overlook that.. anyway here are some panels of them i like 💖
