Endless summer, endless childhood… in my heart maybe, but the pages on the calendar keep turning. Tomorrow my girl enters high school for a “dry-run” orientation day - and then next week she starts 9th grade. I know so many parents are sending their kids to kindergarten or perhaps dropping them off at college. Let us meet those moments when our birds are leaving our nests with love and joy. We can take a deep breath, feel the weight of our hand on our hearts or feel our child in our arms, and say silently: "This is hard, this is beautiful. A lot of parents are experiencing this. The teaching and speaking tour in the south of France brought many moments of connection and beauty. My co-teacher Oli and I hosted groups in Meudon and Gemenos, and toured Provence and the beaches in between. It was fantastic to watch the #worldcup2018 quarterfinals on the beach with the locals! I am also grateful sharing my book The Mindful Day at a special event organized by client and friend Christie! The challenges and joys of living fully human at work, of not holding back in love, and getting clear on meaning and purpose are all universal themes wherever I might be holding these conversations. Although- the French seem to need no training on Mindful eating and conscious wine tasting. #themindfulday #themindfullife #meditation #compassion #booktour2018 #authorsofinstagram #thrive #purpose (at Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France)
