In every era, Allah Almighty sends His Awliya to the world for the guidance of mankind. They are role models for people to follow. Some of them have such a strong and powerful influence on the world that even after their apparent demise, the world remembers them and benefits from them. In this article, we are going to talk about the exemplary character of a similar personality who lived over a thousand years ago but his teachings, followers, disciples and admirers are still present to this day. We are, of course, talking about Muhyuddin Abu Muhammad Ibn Abu Saalih Al-Hasani Al-Husaini, famously known as Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. Hundreds of non-Muslims embraced Islam through him and thousands, rather hundreds of thousands of sinful people were blessed with repentance through him.

Lessons Learned from Pandemic
Tumblr media
If we look back a few months ago, we had become seriously attached to a fast-paced digital lifestyle that had turned every individual into a robot. The perpetual state of excessive agitation had taken people away from the true essence of life. On the contrary, the scenario totally changed suddenly and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, life almost came to a standstill, a busy routine came to a halt, and massive disruption of daily activities was observed all over the world. . Even the following incomprehensible events have gone down in world history: people have been held captive in their own homes, oil prices have gone negative, sales have gone to zero, multinational companies have closed, and imports and exports have ceased. At this point, have we reflected on the lessons learned from COVID-19?

Become a Good Role Model For Your Kids
Our words do not impact the behavior of children as much as our actions do. Children are impressionable and so naturally, their worldview and character are shaped by their parent's behavior. Your smile, for example, teaches your child how to express happiness, and how you deal with sadness will set a model for your child to follow when facing a similar situation.
Tumblr media
One unfortunate reality of our society is its ingrained hypocrisy whereby parents will live with negative characteristics yet wish to see a positive character in their children. All too often parents will act out their anger and use foul language yet expect their children to be good-mannered, or they will make carefree and irresponsible decisions all the while expecting their children to be responsible. In short, it is these double standards that have left many of today’s generation bereft of good character, rendering them lazy reprobates.
Read some helpful tips from here on how to become a good role model for your children.
