I just have to speak up about what’s going on in my country. The US. I’m ashamed of everything happening. I’m terrified. But i’m not ready to back down. To the people on tumblr who live among me. Do not stop being who you are. That is letting them win. While we may be getting censored on some platforms. We aren’t getting censored on all of them. Keeping speaking up, keeping getting involved, stay informed. Do whatever you can. These next four years or longer won’t be easy. But we will not make it easy for them either. There are national protest all over the country on January 29th, that’s a great way to get involved. Be careful of how your present yourself. Don’t go alone. Stick to a group. STAY AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. If something feels off, LEAVE. Listen to your gut. I know as a young person I feel like I’m helpless. But I know that’s not true. There are so many resources to help us. If you need any advice, or anything please reach out to me. I’m very involved with my local community and political organizations and most likely can get you information. Overall I just want you to know. You are loved. You are cared for. You are not alone. Do the right thing, get involved. I will always be here at your side. No matter what. Keep hope.
