We are all gonna die one day, and we are not going to carry any of our money or laurels with us. Hence, there is no reason to feel too daunted by the permanence of any of our decision. Majority of us are inconsequential people, and no power in the world rests in our hands. If you cannot get the best of anything, it’s perfectly fine to settle for the second best, third best, or even the below average one. There is no dictum anywhere that you should always have the very best, by that I mean the best according to the consensus. Once you let go of the feeling that if I am not doing what is generally accepted to be the best then I am wasting my life, you can finally have your life revolve only around you.

What I mean is that there is a university in a city far away from my hometown, which is the best in my country. But to get there I shall have to work very, very hard and even then I may not get there. I have another university right here in my hometown, not as good as the earlier one. But I am by nature an anxious person, so I shall have more comfort if I am near my home and family. In this I was feeling a great dilemma that if I do not get into the best university, my life will lose value. Then I asked myself - to who? If there was no one to judge me, and I take all people out of this picture, I will be very much okay with the average university.

Probably just getting drowned in my own words here, but you know - nothing is ever permanent. Nothing will change if I do not go to the best university.

i love how a big part of elizabeth bennet’s character is that she is obviously very smart, she is very observant, but she can easily be led astray by her preconceived notions, by things that she already has convinced herself of believing. and this is most obvious by her not seeing mr. darcy’s proposal coming at all, because girl that man was openly flirting with her. i don’t think this is shown a lot in the movie or the tv series, but he keeps teasing her, answering her witty remarks with a smile, the whole “i am not afraid of you” thing. like, charlotte saw it coming, colonel fitzwilliam definitely saw it coming, the gardiners knew as soon as they saw them together later in the book, mr darcy was not as subtle as he thought he was being

Alright so things that make me happy

Off the top of my head I’ll say music. My happiness does sound like my favourite songs.

Happiness is when my playlist is on shuffle and I hear the first note of one of my absolute favourite songs coming on. A familiar warmth spreads over my body, my brain relaxes immediately and I drop anything that I am doing for the next few minutes just let the music sink into my body. That, is happiness.

Happiness is also season 5 of FRIENDS, the satisfaction of seeing Monica and Chandler finally get together is divine.

Happiness is the final proposal scene of Pride and Prejudice, “Dearest, loveliest Elizabeth.”

Happiness is being extremely excited about reading a book everyday, being so engrossed in a book that the words are no longer seem just words, and you forget you are reading.

Happiness is studying my favourite subject without any stress of exams.

Happiness is four course dinner prepared by my mom which five of us eat together.

That’s the thing about time you see,

It’s a rainy day today, drizzling and cold and cloudy. But it’s warm and cozy inside my room and that is where I can be all day as I have a day off from work. I’m studying my favourite subject with my favourite songs on. I just ordered chinese from a restaurant and now I’m going to study intently till my order arrives. Then I’m gonna put on The Office and savour the noodles and fried rice. After the afternoon break I plan to be back to my studies, study with focus all evening till dinner time when every one will be back home and the five of us will have dinner together. Then I will work on my blog till midnight and then I’ll finally crawl into my bed and read Jane Austen’s ‘Persuasion’, wrapped in the blanket, until I feel sleepy enough to doze off. Awesome! 📚📖🌧️😴🍝🎧

Tomorrow though, I have 12 hours duty but I’m gonna be sufficiently refreshed till then.
