Brienne and Jaime are delivered to Lord Bolton where Jaime has his wounds treated. He tells Brienne about the events leading up to killing the King and acquiring the name Kingslayer. Sandor Clegane engages in mortal combat but succeeds in gaining his freedom much to Arya's annoyance. At King's Landing, Cersei begins plotting against the Tyrells and seeks Baelish's assistance. Tyrion discusses the cost of the upcoming wedding with Lady Olenna and she agrees to pay half the cost. Tywin Lannister has become aware of the Tyrells plans to have Sansa Stark marry Ser Loras Tyrell but he has his own idea as to who she should marry. Robb has to deal with the murderers of Tywin Lannisters young nephews including Lord Rickard Karstark whom he executes against the advice of those around him. Daenerys' army is on the move. North of the wall, Jon and Ygritte become lovers.

*Jon and Ygritte fell in love in the show. In real life, Kit Harington (Jon) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) married in 2018.

Harassed Bill Porter juggles working in a bakery with her sex-mad friend Rona with looking after lazy husband Ben, a plumber and their children Jenny and David. Bill is called to Jenny's school where the headmaster - in costume for a Gilbert and Sullivan show - tells her that Jenny has been truanting. It turns out that Jenny has been seeing a biker called Spin. However Bill herself keeps running into - literally - an attractive biker,Angelo,who suggests they go away together. She declines as her family comes first and feels it would be hypocritical to chastise Jenny in the circumstances.

Violence ensues after an extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth finds a kindred spirit in a government agent exposed to their biotechnology.

*After the feature film based on the Halo: Combat Evolved (2001) video game series (which was to have been directed by Neill Blomkamp) fell through, producer Peter Jackson went to Blomkamp and offered him $30 million to make whatever he wanted, although this would be Blomkamp's first feature as a director. The result is this film.

When a murdered woman is found at his lodgings Jackson is accused of being Jack the Ripper and arrested. Meanwhile ex-prostitute Rose answers a personal ad in the newspaper and meets a seemingly charming young man,Victor Silver. However he and his family are white slavers who drug and abduct Rose along with other young girls.Silver was once a suspect in the Ripper case but went missing in the pleasure boat accident in which the Reids' daughter also disappeared and Reid fears Silver may have killed her. The police set a trap,using a friend of Rose to pose as a want ad correspondent and Silver takes the bait. Reid then over-rules his superiors to release Jackson to help him and Drake smash the slavers ring and save Rose and the other victims.

*The episode title "What Use Our Work" is spoken by Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen). "What use our work, Bennet, if we cannot care for those we love?"

John returns to his base and is posted on active service. Nancy is going to drive Joyce to see him but cries off when Lawrence tells her that his wife will be away for the weekend and they can spend the time together. Joyce catches them kissing and tells Lady Ellen, who makes Lawrence take Joyce instead. 'Trekkers' - bombed out families - arrive at the farm, looking for work and Annie befriends Adam Blackfield and his sick, shell-shocked mother who get left behind when the other trekkers are forced to leave,following a burglary at Hoxley Hall. She fetches a doctor for the old lady but she dies. Billy proposes to Bea, just before she goes into labour and gives birth to a son. Annie is told that her husband has been found - alive,

*Although set in north London exteriors were filmed in Bristol. This is explicit here when a street sign for Codrington Road is clearly seen; the only Codrington Road in the UK is in Bristol.

Jake and Amy investigate a string of hotel robberies together, but Jake turns on her when he finds out she may leave the Nine-Nine to work in the Major Crimes unit with The Vulture. Meanwhile, Captain Holt and Terry strategize to make the precinct more efficient.

*Melissa Fumero was actually shocked in the scene where Amy watches Jake fall off a ladder after his failed attempt to use it to dunk a basketball.

*The fact that there was a year's gap between the filming of Northwest Passage (1989) and this one is evident in the different hairstyles sported by some of the cast. Although they take place on consecutive days, James Hurley, Sheriff Truman, and Deputy Brennan all have shorter haircuts by the next day, while Donna Hayward, Catherine Martell and Audrey Horne (in particular) all have noticeably longer hair.

Kinsey's fixation on the Drowning Cave (and the locked door in back of it) puts the lives of the Savini Squad at risk. Nina, unhappy with Det. Matuku ruling Joe's death a suicide, confronts Ellie, getting on her bad side. Kinsey's effort to jog Uncle Duncan's memory results in a migraine. Whispers lead Bode to another Key but doesn't reveal what it does. Tyler's irresponsible actions drive Jackie away. After enabling Sam to escape prison, Echo seduces one of the Locke children.

*The "Mending Key" is in the form of the caduceus, the symbol often used to represent medicine, especially in the USA, hence its "healing" power. ( It is actually the symbol of Hermes, the more correct symbol for medicine is the Rod of Asclepius, which is a single snake twined about a staff).

*This episode's commercial is for Lagos brand paper towels. The city of Lagos, Nigeria, is where Wanda accidentally blew up a building at the beginning of Captain America: Civil War (2016).

Phryne Fisher's evening at the hottest jazz club in Melbourne, The Green Mill, is interrupted by a sudden death on the dance floor. Phryne must take to the skies in a biplane to solve a murder that involves hot jazz and a man from her own past.

*The biplane used in this episode (and correctly identified in the script) is a De Havilland Tiger Moth. The characters state that the airplane had been in a hangar "for years." The given year for this series is 1928; this is rather impossible as the Tiger Moth's first flight was on 26th October 1931.

Despite it being a stretch on his and Samantha's finances, Darrin finds a house for them to purchase, which irks Endora, who doesn't understand why Samantha would agree to such Earthly confines. Regardless, on Samantha's urging, Endora accompanies her to view the house, which is unfurnished, and as it is newly built, the property is not landscaped. Endora sees the situation as being drab, while Samantha sees it as a blank canvass upon which she and Darrin, using their hard earned mortal cash, can buy the necessary furniture and seeds/plants to make the house their home. But that doesn't stop both Samantha and Endora using a little witchcraft to experiment with both exterior and interior design options. Their witchcraft causes a bit of an issue with Samantha and Darrin's potential neighbor, the busybody Gladys Kravitz, who sees a landscaped yard and furnished interior, and then not.

*Endora reads a magazine, entitled "Harpies Bizarre" - a play on the magazine 'Harper's Bazaar'.

*T'Challa named his ship the Mandela after Nelson Mandela instead of the Milano which Peter Quill named after Alyssa Milano.
