Hey, so...
…”Will you tag (something that is not a common phobia or trauma trigger)?” is always an appropriate request. Even if you’re asking “will you tag for the letter ‘e’,” you’re not crossing boundaries unless the person you’ve asking has already said, clearly, that they will not tag for a thing.
However, “no,” is an equally appropriate reply. It’s nice to have reasons (no I will not tag frogs because I post too many frogs and I forget, meaning that the tag will not protect you; no, I will not tag Disney princesses because it says “Disney princesses” in my blog description and you knew this was a dead dove before you took a bite), but they are absolutely not required.
“Will you tag for birds of prey?” “No. Please unfollow me if you require that tag.” is a perfectly polite exchange.

every time I see someone who strangely identifies with the proship or anti labels 10 years get taken from my life.
antis are hypocritical, they water down important terms, they are way too into other people's business, and they deny any wrong doings that go on within their community.
proshippers are entitled, hypocritical, invade safe spaces, and a lot of times do the same shit antis do.
I've been chronically online since I was 11. I'm 18 now, I have a job, responsibilities, and my own life outside the internet. these people's lives revolve around the internet. these people have active accounts that post every single day and sometimes multiple times a day about the same shit, when both sides know that nobody is gonna change anybody's mind.
when I was 11-15 I really loved "yaoi" and I got into ships like ereri, sebaciel, etc.
no one ever tried to educate me about these ships.
instead I got my dms flooded with people saying shit like they were gonna chop my head off, telling me to slit my wrists (this is around the time I had attempted suicide as well, which I had talked about on my account), people told me all kinda fucked up shit without taking into account that I was a kid.
I think what most antis say they agree on is that they do what they do to "protect real kids."
I don't know if I can believe that when antis treat "real kids" like that.
often times when you look at main tags/sfw tags you can find proship stuff. one community that had a huge issue with this (not as much anymore) is the my little pony community. posting proship content on main tags is not okay, not for a media source that is sfw and/or meant for kids. I know many can relate but when I was younger I couldn't look up my favourite MLP character (Fluttershy) without either being flooded with porn or gore. that was not okay.
proshippers still post proship content on main tags, yet dismiss the fact that doing that is desensitizing real kids to fucked up things.
I'm sick of people debating whether you have to be a proshipper or anti.
I'm sick of the fact that both of these sides prioritize fiction over real people.
if you disagree with any of these points please be respectful.

OKAY SO.. I'm really into rare pairs, my all time favourite ship is Randy x Luca bc of an old fanfic I wrote, but I also like Randy x Klaus and Elias x Luca, as well as Amelia x MC

I have a love-hate relationship with Wizardess Heart's (barely existent) fandom.. On one hand I love that there's not much shipping because, well, less shipping means less shipping wars. On the other hand, there's virtually no content for the ships I like

As a long time overwatch fan and McCree enthusiast, I definitely don't think we should change his name.
This is such a nonissue that I'm confused as to why people are making such a big deal about it. I understand the dev or whoever is a shitty person but it's not like him sharing his name with McCree makes them the same person?
In real life some people are named after horrible people, and that's okay that's not their fault. In the end it's just a name and millions of people have that same name.
Overwatch players demand McCree name change after damning Blizzard report.
Overwatch players are calling for Jesse McCree to be renamed after a developer the hero is named after was featured in a Blizzard report outlining allegations against the company.
On July 27, as Blizzard employees staged a walkout protest, Kotaku reported on the infamous “Cosby Suite” at BlizzCon 2013 – a nickname given to Alex Afrasiabi’s booze-filled hotel room.
The report featured a photo of a group chat screenshot that had been uploaded to Afrasiabi’s Facebook. In it, former designer David Kosak wrote “I am gathering the hot chixx for the Coz.”
“You can’t marry ALL of them Alex,” he added, which prompted Afrasiabi to disagree. “I can, I’m Middle Eastern.”

Following this, WoW Level Designer Jesse McCree chimed in with “You misspelled f**k.”

Jesse McCree, of course, is also a character from Overwatch who seems to have been named after the dev. In a 2019 BlizzCon panel, McCree the developer claimed his parents were “big Overwatch fans.”

Players want Jesse McCree renamed in Overwatch
Following this news, players have begun calling for Blizzard to rename the cowboy hero.

“Petition for Overwatch to rename Jesse McCree to Matt Mercer in light of the real life Jesse McCree being a greasy ‘Cosby Suite’ dwelling scumbag,” one player wrote on Twitter.

Others went as far as calling for the devs to kill off the character. “Kill off Jesse mcCree or give us his real name for Overwatch 2, I’m never speaking that PoS name again.”
With so many players calling for change, it will be interesting to see what actions are taken. Previously, the WoW dev team stated they would be removing references “not appropriate” for their world following the allegations.

Of course, removing McCree’s name would also mean redoing multiple in-game interactions and voice lines, so it’s not as simple as it may sound.
Whether or not the hero ends up being locked until changes are made or even killed off in Overwatch 2 remains unknown, but the idea of Jesse McCree not really being the hero’s real name seems like a plausible route.
The Overwatch devs have not yet commented on the situation.
Information: dexerto web. not name sorry.
Me: what the hell is wrong with you now?! now with Blizzard stories "I know what happened" you're doing this smoothly for blizzard and overwatch fans and Jesse Mccree character names!
smoothly I could say that "we have to change Mercy's name, Gabe, Jake, Mei, Moira, Hanzo, etc." almost they have real names too, no matter who we find a name will exist without our knowledge.
on this you will greatly spoil the thing to change your name, Scandal It will be. you know why?
notice, when the game wasn’t done yet and the names were thought about, they should have changed smoothly at the very beginning, but they still didn’t do it because everyone accepted it.
and now the fans.
Jesse Mccree fans, Mchanzo fans, Mccree x Asher, Mccree x Gabe, etc. which I know.
we are already used to this name and we love why we should spoil the overwatch even more.
And
was his name a problem over the years? No.
now for those who are fans. give their opinion. do you want to change Jesse Mccree's name? because I do not want to.

I've never quite understood the hate against mchanzo, to me I've always thought of it as the "perfect" ship within overwatch. The content for it is beautiful, there's a lot of interactions in game between them (even though there's very little in lore), and there's enough emptiness between them to give fans the ability to take on their own interpretation of the two

McCree on the battlefield making callouts for Hanzo like: "To your left, darlin'" "I've got your back sugar." "Watch out cariño!"
At first Hanzo tried convincing McCree that it's unprofessional, but later realized that there is no stopping it.

I think that even after Hanzo and McCree entered a romantic relationship Hanzo still took a while to be affectionate ESPECIALLY when it came to pet names. While McCree goes crazy with pet names, Hanzo only calls him Jesse, until one day he refers to him as "my love" and McCree goes Feral. McCree realizes Hanzo only uses pet names when the two are in private, or in very tender moments if they are in public. Hanzo NEVER calls McCree pet names on missions either, nor does he call him Jesse. He thinks any sign off softness towards the team can be taken as weakness, and is dangerous to show on the battlefield. McCree on the other hand, uses pet names no matter where they are and no matter what the situation is.

Kealuc discourse reminds me a LOT of when there was a ton of Usuk discourse. I'm not in the Hetalia fandom anymore cause I mostly lost interest, but I remember everyone saying you couldn't ship them because of their brotherly relationship, even though America straight up told Britain he isn't his little brother anymore. As soon as America was old enough to take care of himself he no longer needed the type of brotherly relationship they had.
This is similar to Kaeluc in my opinion, because in the Genshin manga Diluc tells Kaeya "you're not my brother", and the two no longer consider each other family (ex: Kaeya referring to Diluc's father and only Diluc's father, same with Diluc's family). This is a bit different though because with Usuk their bond ended from Britain's overbearingness mixed with America's thirst for freedom, for them to continue having a brotherly relationship would be a bit unhealthy, no? While with Kaeluc, their relationship ended due to Crepus dying, as well as Kaeya revealing his secret to Diluc.
In Diluc's point of view, it seemed Kaeya was taking advantage of Crepus' death to reveal his own struggle. In Diluc's point of view Kaeya was being selfish and invaded his grief with his own burden. Yet in Kaeya's point of view, he felt as if Diluc was someone he could confide in, especially in a moment where they both are very emotional. So similarly to Usuk, their brotherly relationship was suffocating each other in a way.
Another thing to add, is that both of their relationships as brothers were chosen relationships, and both relationships ended on their own will. Though Usuk's brotherly relationship was more of a dependant one (mostly America depending on Britain), it was still a relationship formed through free will, Kaeluc's bond was also one formed through free will, but also having a push from Crepus taking in Kaeya. Due to the lack of background Mihoyo has given us I can't say for certain, but with the fact that Kaeya had presumably enjoyed his time living under Crepus' care, Kaeya and Diluc weren't forced to "play nice" or act as if they were brothers. I don't think Crepus forced them into that. I personally think Crepus treated Kaeya as another son but unspokenly gave Diluc the option to view Kaeya how he wanted to.
Either way, neither pairings consider themselves as brothers anymore. This matters because it was a chosen relationship, they chose to see each other as brothers then chose to no longer see each other as brothers. It's the same thing as childhood friends to lovers, most childhood friends have an almost sibling relationship.
#kaeluc#genshin impact#usuk#hetalia#i dont even ship usuk#it takes literally no brain cells to be aware of any of this#feel free to argue but at least be competent
