Chapter 6: Letter to Orin

The corner of the parchment crinkled under his grip. This was it. Azar took a breath and gently smoothed out and folded the letter before putting it in the chest he'd brought.

When they were done they patted the soil and sat leaning against the tree. Maybe it would be more appropriate to have done this in a cemetery but this courtyard felt right. He can hear the echo of Orin mocking him for his sentimentality. And yeah it felt right.

Guys i love durge and orin their relationship is so silly to me. I love the idea of Resist urge having an idealized version of what himself and Orin's relationship looked like in his mind, even though he knows from the copious amount of letters he's found that it wasn't like that, that whoever he was before only makes a passing resemblance to who he is now and gortsh's assessment of Orin as a mad dog isn't entirely unfounded. But it would have been nice he thinks to have had a sister

Chapter 5: Trust

i say this in all seriousness, a great way to resist the broad cultural shift of devaluing curiosity and critical thinking is to play my favorite game, Hey What Is That Thing

you play it while walking around with friends and if you see something and don't know what it is or wonder why its there, you stop and point and say Hey What Is That Thing. and everyone speculates about it. googling it is allowed but preferably after spending several minutes guessing or asking a passerby about it

weird structures, ambiguous signs, unfamiliar car modifications, anything that you can't immediately understand its function. eight times out of ten, someone in the group actually knows, and now you know!

a few examples from me and my friends the past few weeks: "why is there a piece of plywood sticking out of that pond in a way that looks intentional?" (its a ramp so squirrels that fall in to the pond can climb out) • "my boss keeps insisting i take a vacation of nine days or more, thats so specific" (you work at a bank, banks make employees take vacation in long chunks so if youre stealing or committing fraud, itll be more obvious) • "why does this brick wall have random wooden blocks in it" (theres actually several reasons why this could be but we asked and it was so you could nail stuff to the wall) • "most of these old factories we drive past have tinted windows, was that just for style?" (fun fact the factory owners realized that blue light keeps people awake, much like screen light does now, so they tinted the windows blue to keep workers alert and make them work longer hours)

been playing this game for a long time and ive learned (and taught) a fuckton about zoning laws, local history, utilities (did you know you can just go to your local water treatment plant and ask for a tour and if they have a spare intern theyll just give you a tour!!!) and a whole lot of fun trivia. and now suddenly you're paying more attention when youre walking around, thinking about the reasons behind every design choice in the place you live that used to just be background noise. and it fuckin rules.

Ok so I listen to my own playlists in the background of playing games cuz sometimes it's hard to focus without 30 different things going on and I'm slowly but surely making my way through my first playthrough of bg3 rn

Ok so- i just finished the Wyrmway quest line and once all the fight was finished and all the cutscenes were over and my character is left to collect the loot and process everything what starts to play but The Ballad of Lucy Gray Baird

I do realize the line between an actor au and just Minecraft role play is thin but it’s still good to me so here you go tumblr

-Arisaunna, Ulysses and Enderian’s actor bonding over having to be painted every time they go on set

-Aax’s actor is naturally pale, a few bits of concealer and they’re fine, its the contacts that get to them

-prison duo was not intentional at all but Icarus’s and centross’s actor are in a relationship and that bled into the characters ALOT

-Isla’s actor was a really A-list actor and people kept swearing they knew her from somewhere back when they were just getting small cuts of her voice and then they saw the cannon portrait of her and went feral

-Ven’s actor uses his actual wedding rings for his characters costume

-young Icarus’s actor and fable’s actor are uncle and nephew, hence the lookalike, normal Icarus’s actor just looks weirdly similar to them

-young Rae and Athena’s actor are besties

-Fenriss’s and Rae’s actors have a funny joke that they’ve played love interests like 3 times for various projects

-athena and Icarus’s actors got really close during the ominous bane arc and from that came a really good friendship thats really different off-screen and also a million inside jokes

-a similar thing happened with icarus and fable’s actor except fable’s actor is so different from his character that it’s concerning

-Oscar and young aax’s actor is the same kid and he would just hang around set when he wasn’t filming

-alerions actor was an assistant director who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got put in contacts and a wig

-of the marjor god actors, Netherum is the only one who isnt in a wig, they died thier hair

-to protest not having enough scenes Easton’s actor was a prop stealer and also would sip bubble tea on the sidelines while everyone was trying to work

-Jamie’s actor was the one who insisted as the change in appearance in season three because they were sick of being a CGI bear and wearing the CGI thing while everyone else got cool costumes

-all the animals were real animals or puppets with CGI movements or small details added post-filming, the only exception to this is the warden and ender dragon

-will and Galahad had a romance plot planed but it got scrapped due to time issues and the actors were upset

-none of the actors knew haleys actor was returning to set untill she showed up in costume for the filming of the end of season.2

-Caspians actor wrote the lady of the world
