There’s so much discomfort in trying to figure things out for yourself. Trying to figure out the answers without other people’s help. Without skipping to the back of the book to find out what happens. Without faith in a higher power that will guide you. I don’t want to rely on something else to give me the answers, but I fear I’m not strong enough to find them myself.

In my experience the white knight is always some awful guy with a saviour complex who I fall for every time. I get high on false hope and empty promises, it’s addictive
