retro gaming 3 - Fire and Ice

another little gem i played on my Amiga 500 as a kid!

Fire and Ice from 1993 is a neat platformer with lovely graphics. as a kid, i always adored the world graphic below the main screen <3

you play as Cool Coyote, beginning in the ice world, going through what seems to be Scottish highlands, the obligational underwater level and, of course, a jungle level. i actually can't quite remember why he even has you go that journey, but that's what many old games were, just do stuff for the sake of it.

also had a nice soundtrack, though this isn't one i listen to outside of the game, but it sure brings back memories and for some reason i like underwater level music XD. check out this neat playlist:

it is so sad that so many trees are dead. this is a national park, a place to preserve nature, and it looks like this.

at least sometimes there are still nice sights (like the water stream on my aesthetics blog) and the birds are chirping wonderfully.
