Dorlene Coffee Shop AU

Roaming around in the town with my skateboard, autumn wind softly kissing my face. I sigh deeply, and inhale the fresh air.

A melody reaches my ear and I get mesmerized by it. The beautiful voice; I don't think I'll ever be able to forget it - the same song my mother used to sing to me, when I was a child. The voice leads me to a small coffee shop. I enter the place, filled with coffee's aroma and I see the most beautiful specimen I have ever seen. Warm brown skin, freckled cheeks, dark hair, humming the same melody which led me to her. She waters the plants with a smile, clearly enjoying her job, while her friend - a lean lad with light brown hair arranges the books on a shelf. I'm not surprised to see that I'm the only customer there, since it's a quite isolated area.

I seat myself, when I hear the guy say to her, "We have a customer, Dorcas."

Dorcas. Dorcas. Such a beautiful name, for such a beautiful woman. Dorcas. Dorcas. Dorcas. Repeating the name again and again in my brain is intoxicating, yet I kind of like it.

"Hey!" I'm lost in my thoughts when Dorcas comes to my table and greets me, with the warmest smile on her face.

"Hi!" I say, "Can I please have a latte?"

"Of course. Your name?"

"I'm Marlene. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Dorcas."

"I know.", I blurt out without thinking. I feel blood rush to my cheeks out of embarrassment, as Dorcas chuckles and leaves.

I sit patiently, letting the smell of coffee fill my lungs up. I hear Dorcas hum again, this time, a melody of a song I don't know, but, oh, how I would LOVE to know, how I would LOVE to listen to so many more melodies, lying beside her, under her gentle touch, I would finally be home..

"Here's your coffee.", says the lad with brown hair, as he keeps my latte on my table, "Enjoy!", he says, with a smile.

"Thank you.", I reply, although I was hoping it would be Dorcas instead.

I look down at my coffee cup and see it. A heart. Dorcas drew a heart for me. My heart skips a beat and I feel a fluttering sensation in my stomach. I sip on the coffee, and realise that it's the best coffee I've ever had. It feels like a kiss on my mouth, a kiss I have been longing for since forever.

"Do you like the coffee?" Dorcas says, standing near my table. I didn't see her coming.

"Yes, it's really." Really good? That's all you could say, I think to myself.

"Did you see the heart?"

"I did, yeah. It was beautiful." You are beautiful, were the unspoken words. She smiles wide, which makes me wonder if she has heard all the unspoken things I've imagined about her in the past hour I've been in the café.

"Well, enjoy your coffee!"

I finish my coffee and get up to leave. I walk up to the counter and thank them for the coffee.

"Come back again, Marlene.", Dorcas says, with a grin.

Marlene. Nobody has ever said my name so beautifully. I could get high on her voice saying my name over, and over, and over.

"See you again.", I smile and wave.

I hc marauders singing Bohemian Rhapsody along with Reggie and then Reggie and Remus sing "sometimes wish I've never been born at all" at the top of their voices and everyone looks at them concerned and they look at each other and start singing "I'm just like youuuuu, you're just like meee"

Sirius: Except Snivellus.

Sirius: He's just pure evil

Remus: I’m going to go undercover with the werewolves.

Sirius: like hell you are! You could die!

Remus: There are already so many people at risk! This could change things!

Sirius: No! We don’t barter lives.

Remus: One life. Mine. My life versus, what, hundreds? Thousands? Hell I know who I would chose. Don’t you?

Sirius: Yes. I know who I would choose.

Sirius: You. Every time.
