Sharing my thoughts on #SirenBound, this book is set to release on May 31st but I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from E.M. Rinaldi. Thank you again to the author for allowing me to read this book ahead of its release! All thoughts in this review are my own.

The Read-Cap: February 2025
Looking back on all the books I have read in the last month and my thoughts on those books.
This month was a good reading month considering how busy I’ve been. I managed to get through several books that were on my highly anticipated list for this year. There are more I’m looking forward to this year, which I’ll be reading (hopefully) as they come out. Anyways… if you are new to the Read-Cap, this is a monthly post I’m doing where I share what I’ve been reading in the last month and…

My Thoughts on Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales (Emily Wilde, Book 3) by Heather Fawcett
Sharing my thoughts on the final installment of the Emily Wilde series, Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales, by Heather Fawcett
Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales is the final book in the Emily Wilde series by Heather Fawcett. As I stated at the end of the review for Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands, I was a little hesitant about going into this book. Every time that we went into the faerie in the previous books, the plot and details became very muddled. As the protagonist, whose journals we’re reading, has no…

My Thoughts on Don't Let the Forest In by CG Drews
Sharing my thoughts on Don't Let the Forest In by CG Drews, a YA psychological horror.
I’ve been looking forward to this debut book, Don’t Let the Forest In, by CG Drews, since I saw posts on Threads from the author. The cover is gorgeous and there are horror illustrations inside that remind me of the Scary Stories series that I used to read back in elementary school. I do not usually read horror or young adult books these days, but I wanted to give this one a chance because it…

My Thoughts on Onyx Storm (The Empyrean, Book 3) by Rebecca Yarros
Sharing my thoughts on the third installment of the Empyrean series, Onyx Storm, by Rebecca Yarros.
Book three of The Empyrean Series, Onyx Storm, by Rebecca Yarros, is finally here. I have been looking forward to this book ever since the end of Iron Flame. It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I wanted to see how that twist played out. Be warned before going into my thoughts on this book that there will be spoilers for Iron Flame, but I will not be sharing any spoilers for Onyx Storm.…

The Read-Cap: January 2025
Sharing my monthly read-cap of all the books I read in the last month and what I'm planning on reading next.
First Read-Cap of the year! This year I set a reading goal for myself of fifty books. That’s a little under half of what I read in 2024. But I’m trying to be realistic with myself. End of September 2024, I started working on the weekends (starting at 6 AM Saturday and Sunday) and that’s basically killed late-night reading for me. At max, I have around three hours a night for that, if I’m lucky.…

My Thoughts on Once the Skies Fade (Immortal Reveries, Book 2) by Vanessa Rasanen
Sharing my thoughts on Once the Skies Fade, the second installment of Immortal Reveries by Vanessa Rasanen.
Once the Skies Fade by Vanessa Rasanen is the second book in an interconnected series called Immortal Reveries. Each book focuses on a couple who are fated mates as they navigate a magical war-torn world where humans and fae are at odds with each other. This book is coming out on March 14, 2025. I was lucky enough to receive this book early as an Advanced Reader’s Copy. I was looking forward to…
