Reading over my 1920s romance novel now and feeling proud of how I managed to write some pretty heavy tension during this tea drinking scene 🩵

Finished working on chapter 3 of the 1920s romance project I picked up again. It’s so adorable seeing my protagonist start to question her feelings for this woman as she slowly begins to realize that she may be a lesbian. The tension is thick.

Decided to change the love interest’s occupation to actress. I feel that would suit her personality even more. Old Hollywood has always fascinated me and I think writing a story with this theme set in the 1920s could be a lot of fun.

Picking up an old sapphic romance historical project I abandoned. Reading through everything I wrote and found myself truly falling for these characters again.

Was talking with one of my writing buddies and had a creative epiphany.

This editing process has been such an eye opening experience. After bouncing ideas off of each other, I came to the conclusion that I’m going with my original idea which takes a much darker turn during the climax. I’ve learned that sometimes the original idea is the one. 🩵
