leo messi was someone i always looked up to. growing up as a latina who played soccer for 10 years, he changed my life in so many ways. i remember watching my first world cup in 2010, and being amazed at messi's abilities, and he made me want to be a better player. messi was the reason i wore the #10 throughout all the years i played. i always got joy out of watching him play for the last 12 years. through the good and bad in my life, messi inspired me. although i may have quit playing soccer due to past injuries and struggles with my mental health, i will forever be proud to call myself a fan of messi and to have called him my role model. thank you for everything, leo messi, you will forever be the best, not just to me, but the world. 🐐💙

watched steven spielberg's new film, the fabelmans, last night. whether or not you guys just like movies or dream of becoming a filmmaker, please watch it. as someone who is studying to become a filmmaker, the fabelmans had me emotionally engaged the entire time. spielberg's story is sad but sweet in the end, and he's DEFINITELY my favorite director of all time. please go out and support the fabelmans by watching it in theaters. it will change your life.

i only got into the batman: the animated series this year, but kevin instantly became one of my favorite batman actors after i started that series and watched mask of the phantasm. kevin is one of the main reasons i want to make a batman film. my dad raised me on batman, and i remember seeing him watch batman: the animated series when i was growing up. my dad was always the biggest batman fan i knew, and sharing my love for conroy's batman with him meant a lot. as a bisexual batman fan, seeing a gay actor voice such an iconic character made me so happy. kevin was such an icon and truly the best. i'm absolutely heartbroken and cannot stop crying. thank you for changing my life this year, kevin, i love you so much. may you rest in peace. 💙

to my fellow floridians who decided to vote for desantis, i hope you realize that desantis will:

1) will allow teachers and school staff/administrators to check a girl's genitals without consent because of the anti-lgbtq+ rights.

2) will ban abortion after 15 weeks. most women don't know that their fetus can have birth effects until they are past 15 weeks.

3) will keep protecting guns and not find ways to prevent school shootings.

4) pass the "don't say gay" bill that will go into full effect, which bans the teaching of lgbtq+ history in schools.

desantis will do so much more dangerous things to the state of florida, and the fact that you all voted for him disgusts me. as a first time voter who voted democrat, i am DISGUSTED. rubio will help desantis, too. you should be ashamed.

and to those in texas: the fact that you even voted for abbott after the way he handled uvalde is EMBARRASSING.
