Davenport Campground 2 & 3 - San Isabel National Forest - walk to sites from park entrance - July 12
This video shows a walk from the main parking at the part to campgrounds 4 and 5, which are located in the middle of the campgrounds. We walk over a small bridge to sites 4 and 5, then walk left to campground 6 (the one with my tent in there).
Campground 6 has a manual water pump, which is really nice. The water is perfect there.
Davenport Campground is a unique tent-only facility consisting of 12 tent-only sites. We made a reservation online. The road to the campgrounds is narrow, and driving might be challenging.
The rangers were friendly. visited morning and evening. Some people try to use the campground without reservation pretending to be someone else. I guess probably some of them visit Bishop castle and then want to stay overnight somewhere nearby...
There is a trail to hike, from what we read it should be excellent. However, we did not have time to walk it because we stayed only one night.
You might want to bring firewood with you as it gets pretty cool. at night even in mid-July (that is when we visited it)
Some campgrounds have a water pump. The water is very good there.
Hope you find the video helpful as you choose a campground or place to spend time away from cities and all that noise. Please like the video as it helps to make it available to more campers. #travel #camp #park #colorado #nationalpark #tent #nature #mountain #forest #creek #relax

Davenport Campground - Bridge - San Isabel National Forest - walk from site 2 to the bridge - July 8
This video shows a gazebo that is surrounded by campgrounds 1, 2, and 3. Walking from that gazebo towards a little bridge over the creek. If you travel in a group of several families taking sites 1-3 would be awesome because you would have all that area for you and your friends with that gazebo in the middle. Views from the gazebo are spectacular.

My emotional state, after visiting this park, was so much better, I even checked it with the Martspec Emotion app I use every so often.

Davenport Campground - Gazebo - San Isabel National Forest - walk inside and around - July 10
This video shows a gazebo that is surrounded by campgrounds 1, 2, and 3. The gazebo and campgrounds staying isolated from the rest of the campsites.
