I love the forest. It's my favorite space to go relax and commune with the spirits of the world, and obviously, take some photos to share its beauty. But my favorite part of my little forest paradise is the creek running through, teaching me, and reminding me of all the lessons it has to share. Lessons of balance, the presence of its strength and speed, while still being calm and still. Lessons of water's persistence, the ability to make its path, to be where it wants/needs to be no matter what is thrown in its path. And finally, the understanding that although a creek is a "small body of water," it affects the world around it in such a large profound way; making sure the plant life around it is hydrated, helping fish move and breed, and giving a peaceful place for a little witch like me to find profound lessons from its life force.

Elbow Lake, Kananaskis. 2020
Although this is an old set of photos, I go back to them a lot. This is one of my favorite hikes, one I need to do again soon.
I think the reason I loved it is because it wasn't crowded. There was actually space to enjoy the true vibrant energies of the elements! Although seeing people really enjoy nature as it was intended is great, I am quite the introvert, and therefore, it is hard for me to really enjoy a space and commune with the elements, when there are too many people around. So places like these hold a special place in my heart, for they let me truly commune with Nature comfortably without distraction or interference from people around me.

I love it when I come across small ecosystems within the larger one I am currently exploring!
It's small things like this that bring back my childhood dreams of being a small fairy like the characters of Fern Gully. To live and dance on the flowers, to climb through the trees, and the bushes, and to stroll along the moss and soil of the forests. To experience life on a simpler level where the natural worlds ebb and flow of energy is pure and simple.

"Those who follow a path linked to natural magic have long known that we can weave these energies into our everyday life to harmonize ourselves or others with the energy flow of the world around us."
- Arina Murphy-Hiscock
One thing I love doing is capturing photos of the flowers, trees, bodies of water, and skies I see or harvest from, to honor the magical energies they possess and share with me on a daily basis. But sadly, those photos don't really go any further than my phone/computer, so this account is a place where I can post my nature photography, along with my journeys discovering everything natural. Going deeper into the true Spirit of the 4 elements, from stones, the wind and rivers, to wild floura (in my area of the world at least) as well as domesticated and exotic floura.
So, join me on my journey in discovering the natural world around me if you'd like.
You'll at least see some pretty pictures
