Friends (Anti social medic reader x Smitten Ghost)
I am so honored by the support for this little one-shot, I only started recently with posting… I am so glad to be part of such a supportive community <3
part 2 of antisocialmedic reader & Smug ghost
Ghost stomped down the hallways towards the medbay holding a tray of meat and potatoes, he had purposely mashed up the potatoes more so there would not have been any lumps of potatoes left and grabbed the little salt packets for her, he turned a corner. Opening the door with his elbow and slipping into the room “Goodmorning, Mouse”
“Why are you here-” she slowly rotated in her chair to face him as he put food on her desk from the improvised med bay. He turned off her monitors as she moved to try to stop his hand from messing up her setup, he held her by the wrists and made her sit down“why? Why? Stop it i need-” he placed down the tray of food.
“You need to eat, doc.” he sat on the cot closest to her desk, “and you’re welcome…” he grumbled as he crossed his arms leaning back against the wall.
“I need to work” he just glared at her, his eyes flickering between the food and her.
“Try again…”
She narrowed her gaze towards him and huffed crossing her arms, they two were locked in a staring match before being rudely broken off by the sound of her stomach rumbling at an atrocious volume. A gruff chuckle escaped him as he straightened his posture.
“Shut up” she mumbled as she picked up the fork and started feeding herself. He could see the little upturn in her brow as she found how smooth the mashed potatoes were.
“So-”
“Be happy i’m letting you sit there, I don’t like small talk” she turned away from him as she ate, he smiled under his mask at her, he couldn't help but find her adorable.
“Trust me princess I am” he smirked at the new reaction as she went completely stiff in her chair. “Don't call me that” he spoke in unison to her reply. “See I know you so well already, no need for small talk.”
“You don’t know me.” they spoke in unison again and she let out a look so deadly he almost swooned for her. “You like annoying me?” she grumbled as she dusted off half her plate. She went to reach for her water but he passed it to her quickly. “...thank you” her eyes lingered on him and his hand.
“What’s wrong?” she furrowed her brows as he posed the question rocking herself in her chair slightly. “Why do you keep coming back? Talking to me, I mean. I’m not a good conversationalist, I don't like people and I don't want you here.” she finally faced him again and he sat there with a stupid look on his face which she didn’t understand.
“Because I like hanging out with you.” she finished eating and stared at him with a very confused stare. “And frankly you need some more socialising.”
“I-” she sat up straight, she didn’t like being read at all. “I am perfectly happy on my own.”
“You aren't, Mouse.” he leaned forward speaking in a low tone, he noticed how she shied back slightly and readjusted himself accordingly. “You lock yourself away all day, you forget to eat and sleep too little.”
“This is none of your business.” She cleaned up her plate and fork, putting them all back on the tray. “I don't need you. I am smart- independent-”
“I’m not saying you aren’t” he pinched his nose bridge and sighed. He sat up and ran through how to explain this to someone who was so antisocial and socially unaware. “It is good…for you..” she tilted her head. “You’re a doctor, you should know what loneliness can do to someone long term. You need friends to survive, mouse”
“So…you want to be my friend?”
“Yes mouse, I want to be your friend.”
“Does that mean I have to do small talk with you?”
“No mouse, we’ll be just fine without it.” he smiled fondly under the mask.

Anti-socialMedicReader! x Smug Ghost
Warning: Reader is autistic coded, mentions of preferences (ghost) slow burn if this is multiple parts, mentions of violence & blood
Medicreader! Who hates people trying to cope with Ghost who thinks it’s funny. He got pretty beat up during a mission, they were on a long deployment in a temporary base. She didn’t have any of her normal safe people with her, staying in her office all day and retreating into her sleep roll that night without so much of a word to anyone else. The guys couldn't help but react like they were seeing an endangered species whenever they caught a glance of her.
Ghost dragged himself into the medbay, sluggish and worn, only to see who he oh so lovingly referred to as mouse perched behind her desk. Her meek little expression as she stood and pointed at the cot. He followed her command but his eyes tracked her as she moved across the room. “So am I ever going to hear your voice? Or are you mute or something?”
“Not mute” she collected her supplies on her dish and rolled the plate up next to his cot along with her ergonomic chair. “What happened?” She spoke quietly but unafraid.
“Bastard got a little too close and personal while I was busy with his mate-” he could see the slight upturn in her lips, cheeky bird. “But he's much worse off than I am, don't worry about your pretty head.”
“I wasn't worried” she tugged up his shirt to treat his wounds as he sat there taken aback by her bluntness. “That was mean…sorry” she sat awkwardly shifting slightly before admitting “ ...i'm not really sorry.”
This time he could feel the upturn in his own lips at her words. He puffed up his chest as she cleaned his wounds on his abdomen with warm soapy water, trying to seem like a tough man. “Did they get you anywhere else?”
He tried to sit up a little only for her to grip his pant loop to keep him in place while she worked, a glare working as a warning. He cleared his throat awkwardly. A feeling that had been foreign to him for a good while, he was used to being the intimidating presence that evoked it in others. “No love, they couldn't if they tried”
“While obviously they could.” damn there was nothing he could say to flatter her at all, nothing to make her blush or swoon. Normally he wasn’t interested in making women react like that at all. Maybe because that came with his shape and build and as they always say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. “And I'm not your love. Lieutenant”
Something in the way she said it made his heart feel weird, was he into being shut down like this? No no no…he was in control, he was respected…but something about this medic not giving a damn about him or his reputation just…did something for him. “So, how come you lock yerself in here all the time?”
“Cause you all bore me.” she replied frankly now locked in on the stitches she was weaving into the thin skin over his hip bone. “You’re all sweaty…gross and…loud..” she grimaced, “i don’t like people who don’t smell good.”
“I’ve a feeling you don’t like many people, mouse.” he sighed and gripped the metal bar holding the fabric of the cot. “You should try socialising more.”
“Says he” she scoffed as she started bandaging him up.
He smirked slightly as her snarky comment, “And how would you know anything about that, sweetheart” he propped himself up onto his forearms.
“Just because I don't talk to people doesn't mean I'm not observant.” she taped down the gauze. “There. Come back tomorrow so I can clean and redress it. Don’t be a dumbass.”
“You didn’t correct me.”
Her head turned up to look at him “what?” she furrowed her brows as she removed her blue latex gloves and cleaned her station, simon dressing himself in his bloodied shirt.
“I said you didn’t correct me…sweetheart” he held the door frame as he left the room, letting her stew in her own discomfort.
She awkwardly stood and flexed her hand that had gripped his belt loop, it had been a while without genuine human contact.

How 141 show their love languages (headcannons)
Acts of service:
Simon Riley, who knows exactly how to make the perfect cuppa. But you never ask for it and he never actually acknowledges that HE makes it. He loves watching your confused eyes dart around the room, mulling over whether or not to pluck up the courage to question the common room on who in the hell knows that she likes a full fat milk and 2.5 spoons of sugar in her cute little baby blue mug with flowers decorating its base. But you don’t, nor does he confess to the tea curating. The routine goes on every morning, and day by day he watches you sink into the chair, each time slightly more relaxed than the last. A small smirk on his face as the sweet liquid, frankly way too sweet for his liking, finally hits your tongue, and all the tension and grumpiness from military early morning wake-ups melts away.
"Lieutenant yer confusing the poor lass."
"No clue what you're talkin' bout, MacTavish." he says as he sips his black tea, his mug has a little skull on it.
Physical touch:
John Price, who wakes you up every morning by groaning and grumbling, has your eyes slowly opening just to see him sitting on the side of the bed, stretching out his back. Every Morning, like clockwork, you watch with a small smile as he rambles to himself about your bloody mattress being too soft or the fact you kept almost pushing him off the bed, because sleeping in starfish is just the most comfortable way to sleep. But the moment he notices you awake, he smiles and climbs back into bed, pecking your lips and apologising for his morning breath before kissing your cheek and burying his face in the crook of your neck. You spend more time just lying like that, him telling you all about his dreams, occasionally confiding in you about the nightmares that plague him, while you run your hand up and down his big back while he hums contentedly.
"just like that, doll"
Acts of service/Physical touch:
Johnny MacTavish, who always needs to be the one to look after his women. He’ll be damned if anyone but him fills your canteen during a long hot humid mission, even forfeiting his own water for you claiming “you need it more, Bonnie.” as he guides it to your lips. And GOD FORBID you get ill, he becomes a mother hen that would make his nana proud. Stews and soups are constantly being spoon-fed to you while he gingerly pets back the hair that had plastered itself to your forehead with sweat. He stropped when you told him “no kisses” because you don’t want to get him sick, he would settle for plenty of forehead kisses while he tucks you in, right before he puts a damp, cold cloth over it. When you complain about your stomach hurting, he sits between your legs, placing kisses on your stomach, then massaging it until the pain dulls.
"better? i'll make it all better, bon"
Words of affirmations:
Kyle Garrick, who can’t keep his mouth shut, “Hey pretty lady,” you giggled, you can’t help it. Every time he’s talked to you since before you even got together, no matter what, he couldn’t pass you without complimenting you. It could be the most minuscule of things. “Nice handwriting” while you slave over paperwork or “Great technique on that take down” as you’re hunched over panting with your hands on your knees. His big hand is patting your back. He was always there, supporting you with a smile. But it was at its best when he was drunk, “No…ma’am… I’ve got a gorgeous…amazing…darling…at home and I will not!” You were trying to get him into bed, but Kyle Garrick was stubborn, and inebriation would not change that. “You are at home, you wanker.” you grunt as you tug him up the stairs. The next morning, even though he was hung over to hell and high holy, he would roll over and nudge your neck with his nose. “Morning… I love you darling…” he doesn’t know you’re awake, he does it just because.

Sick OC x Ghost Drabble
mentions of vomit (repeated), non sexual showering, intense sickness, references to trauma/slight angst? Mentions of cancer (neither Ghost or Leaf)
AN: this is my first post 💕 sorry if there’s any spelling errors or if I’ve forgotten any warnings
Leaf was strong, she had to be, being a women in an extremely male dominated environment meant not only having to pander to men to keep yourself safe and happy but also not letting anyone see any hint of vulnerability. But here we are, in her dorm in a ball on the floor laid pathetically in a puddle her own vomit. She didn’t even know what time it was, hell, she didn’t know what day it was. What she did know is that she was simultaneously hot and cold all over and breathing felt like a her lungs were filled with cotton. She heard footsteps up and down the hall occasionally but her body vehemently rejected any form of movement, that was until the shadow of two hulking feet appeared in the crack between the floor and the door.
“Leaf. It’s fucking 10 am and your room stinks, get you sorry fucking ass out of bed and into the shower,” Ghost snapped pounding on the door, she felt like he was lobotomising her from the pain she was in.
She tried to muster a response, a “fuck you” or perhaps even a “help me” if she felt especially pathetic in the wake of her sickness but instead all that escaped her was a prolonged groan. She saw the movement of Simon’s feet, how he considered leaving her to stew and rot in her own misery, if it was 10 am she’d probably been there all night, and he was right. She smelled like crap. But he didn’t leave. He pressed his head to the door and gruffly asked “leaf? Tell me you’re alright or I’m coming in.”
Once again all he heard was a whimper, “leaf, get out of the way from the door if you can…” he rammed his huge shoulder against the door, once. Twice, and then he slammed through the door as the lock snapped for him to discover her. “Fuck…shit-“ his mask did little to ease the smell of the room as he looked down to see her. “Christ almighty this is sad…” he grunted as he lifted her into a sitting position. “Can you talk to me?” He pressed the back of his hand against her forehead, he almost felt bad for her.
“C’mere” he grunted as he lifted her up slowly, she was built, stocky, he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t at least slightly jealous of her build. But nonetheless it wasn’t that difficult for him to place her on his hip, trying to get her to hold onto him, “Lee, I need you to help me out here…” he gripped under her thighs tight as he walked into his dorm. She couldn’t , her body wouldn’t work with her, it felt heavier than it ever had and she weakly looked up at him through her eyelashes. “Talk to me Lee,” he grunted as he sat her on her bed up against the wall, “tell me what’s wrong..” he rubbed her sternum which she very much did not appreciate.
“Sick.”
“I can see that you muppet.”
He sighed as he put a towel down on his pillow and looked at her, the sick caked in her hair and the obvious fever running through her. “I’m gonna wash you okay? You okay with that?” He held her shoulders trying to get her eyes on him, “cause you’ll feel better all clean…I’m just washing you…I’m not gonna hurt you I know you hate water…” he lifted her to his bathroom “you’ll need to stand okay? It’s a shower…” he put her on her two feet. She struggled to stand independently, her knees buckling. “Hold onto me…” his voice floated through her brain aimlessly as he stripped her down throwing her nasty clothes in his hamper. One of the very few things she had been able to observe in her state was how clean Simon was. Not neat or tidy, but clean, she felt the cold water hit her bare back and curled into his chest with an involuntary cry.
“I know…. I know….” But he still backed her up into the cold stream of water and held her head back to he could submerge her hair. “Cold-“ she whimpered as he adjusted the temperature. “I know lee, but your temperature is so warm we need to try bring it down…work with me please…” she stopped fighting him, let him run his hands through her hair messaging in shampoo in a way that told her he’d looked after women before…perhaps or almost absolutely a ex girlfriend. Maybe current girlfriend. The latter thought made her stomach churn just slightly. He washed out the shampoo fully and had her hold his shoulders as he lathered body wash over her uncomfortably sensitive skin. “I’ll put you in some nice comfy clothes and you can have a good sleep in my bed, good?” He looked up at her from where he was kneeling washing her legs. “I’ll give you paracetamol and some water too okay?”
She nodded the best she could and he washed the suds off her body, slowly turning off the water and wrapping a nice cozy and extremely oversized robe around her. “All cozy?” She hummed in agreement as he carried her to his desk sitting her down. Her grabbed a comb and gently ran through her hair detangling any tiny mats in her dense curly hair. “How do you know…how to…do this…?” She rasped weakly as he gently French braided her hair.
“My mum was sick when I was younger…used to look after her during chemo…” he said something so crushing so casually and Lee had no clue how to respond. “Learned a lot of stuff” he tied off the braids and lead her to his towel covered bed “so you aren’t sick on my duvet, right?” She nodded weakly and laid down. “Thank you…” he dressed her in his oversized shirt and a pair of his boxers.
“Don’t be fucking daft, Lee, no need for that shit,” she looked up at him as he almost reverently stroked her face. “I’ll be back in a minute, alright?” He pressed his hand to her forehead before getting up and disappearing temporarily before returning with a basin of cold water and a cloth. He placed it on her head before handing her a little cup of pills with some cold water. “Take these. No complaints.” He demanded and she complied. “Are you gonna be okay here while I work for a few hours?” She looked up at him as he clicked his tongue. “Where’s your phone, Lee?”
“My room…” he sighed and quickly retrieved it and put his number in her emergency contacts. “You call me if you don’t feel well, go to sleep now alright?” She nodded “good girl…” he kissed his fingers through his mask and pressed them to her cheek before tucking her in and leaving.
