Midnight in Paris in Montreal
So Stephanie and I are sitting at Café Aunja for our weekly meeting. Today is more of a study fest though- with her essay due tomorrow and my placement exams around the corner.
We were musing about the blue skies, sipping on our iced teas. You know, procrastinating.
Anyways, we start talking about Paris. Specifically Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. When, what do you know, the soundtrack begins…

C2MTL: Day 2
Today, I had the opportunity to attend the C2MTL conference at the Arsenal in Griffintown.
It was amazing. I never expected a business conference to be so engaging.
C2MTL describes itself as a: “business conference, somewhere between genius and insanity”. I think it’s even gone beyond its mandate by synthesizing design through an innovative learning experience.
I had entered the event with…

Montreal and the new X-Men Movie
Since the movie just came out- I won’t spoil anything. It’s totally worth to watch in theatres!
For any Montrealers/McGill students- two scenes will make you squeal with excitement. At least I did in recognition!
In a few weeks, we’ll hopefully write a follow up on the film’s cinematography.
Happy viewing, if Mutants are your thing. Or Marvel. Or anything, really.

Countdown to OSHEAGA: Ingrid Michaelson
Countdown to OSHEAGA: Ingrid Michaelson
I’ve always put Ingrid Michaelson into my trifecta of “feel-good” artists- along with Sara Bareilles and Regina Spektor. All three are endearing pianist singer-songwriters. I’ve had the opportunity to see the latter two, but looking forward to witnessing Michaelson on a different platform than YouTube. And on TV dramas like One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy and the Vampire Diaries. What can I say, I…

Tales of a First Time Runner
Tales of a First Time Runner
Last week, I was sitting at my computer. Staring idly at the screen, taping lightly on the keys, I was like a zombie. Strike that. Definitely a zombie. I looked outside, it was beautiful! One of the few gorgeous days we’ve had in Montreal this spring, which had been filled with sporadic- yet intense- rain showers and cool gusts of wind. Whenever it is sunny, I become a lizard lounging under a…

Bar Review: Big in Japan Bar
Bar Review: Big in Japan Bar
Standing on the corner of Saint-Laurent and Rachel, my phone indicates that we have arrived at Big in Japan Bar. “But where is it?” I asked my friend. As we turned around, we noticed an obscure red door open for a well-dressed couple to enter. We concluded that this must be the place. Knocking on the door, a British man in a suit opened the door and informed us to wait outside for a moment even…

Review: The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy
Review: The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy
Before writing this review, I may have binged on the first six episodes. You have been warned.
Im loving this new interpretation of J.M.Barrie’s classic. It’s quirky. It’s unconventional. It’s super catchy. And Michael Darling is absolutely- how should we say it- darling!
While the Lizzie Bennet Diaries who used different settings for different story arcs, The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy
