I just used like 5 different apps to evaluate my face, and 4 were all "total hottest, 7/10, 8/10", 6.5 and I was feeling good. Trying on makeup. Then one app said I was a 1.6/10 with an oval face and I can't stop crying and fixating on that.

So recently I heard about Christian Linke's comments on jayvik (which happened months ago, I'm just always late to everything), and how he sees Viktor as asexual, and essentially confirmed that the ship is completely platonic. Lots of people responded to this and complained about how regularly in the media and in real life, disabled characters typically don't have their sexuality explored or are ven allowed to be seen as sexually appealing, and him in some ways putting Viktor into that notion.

That said, I'm not shying away from the fact that I probably had that notion because until that was brought up I had never really pondered on the way disabilities are portrayed in the media.

Because of this, I wanted to ask and look for movies with actual good disabled representation, in which they're treated like people while recognizing their disability?

I thought arcane had good representation for disabled people, but other than that the only one I can think of is Saved! which I really like. I like Roland and Cassandra's relationship a lot. I'd like to have more to watch, even though I understand there might not be many in the media.

So yeah, if anyone has any examples of that, I'd really appreciate it.

I still quite enjoy jayvik and viktor as a character.

I love Hazel and Nico as siblings, but their individual backstories never reflect on their characters in the books and their relationship with one another and other members of the seven.

Both Hazel and Nico are written from similar time periods. They're born from times of segregation, racism and homophobia, but it's never explored. EVER.

They're from the 1930s, but Hazel is never shown to have preference or be uncomfortable around the idea of being on a boat with people who, based on the time period, she'd perceived as different. She ends up with Frank and is just fine with much lighter members of the 7, such as Annabeth and Percy, and it's never explored. Her idea of race is never addressed, and the entire premise of her being a black girl from the 1930s is never explored except for once where there's a line about her grandma being a slave. Nothing.

Nico never expresses any form of internal homophobia (at least not to my knowledge). He's from the 1930s, too, but his idea of sexuality or even judging himself for such isn't really brought up. Even when he's outed by Cupid, it's not only sort of praised in but he's never shown to have his own feelings of disdain for it even though he was raised in a time where homophobia was rampant. I wish it was even explored in TSATS but it never was.

Their relationship as siblings is the oddest to ne because they seem to be completely indifferent to the element of race and sexuality that could cause some sort of wedge and allow for us to see how the way they were raised affected them but it never did.

I just wish it was explored, and I never really see anyone talk about this.
