January 7, 2024: Welcome to 2024!
Okay, I have been writing (and there is a LOT). However, I've had to deal with bedbugs for the past six months (and going). I have no time to go into the logistics (and the blame sits squarely on the shoulders of my stepsister), but I'm here to have some fun and tell you about what is going on with the HOB.
Without too much detail of the private conflicts that plagued this project since its creation upon the heels of the success of @tkwrtrilogy2, @tkwrtrilogy, and @tkwrtrilogy3, there has been an overhaul. Also, the latest addition to the trilogy will make its debut on Wattpad (but will come here eventually).
First, the OVERHAUL: Welcome to the HOB Universe.
Tumblr media
You're asking yourself: WTF is this? Well, the best explanation of it can be seen here. All that applies is that this takes place in 17th-century France rather than Middle Earth.
I will be overhauling the Tumblr for @lesecretdelamaisondubourbon. There is a reason, but to find that out, you'll have to read the memoir about all of this (TBA). Either way, it comes on the heels of family drama and the death of a friendship that was supposed to last forever (according to her). But, the book (known by the title XIV) is going up on Wattpad, so while it is being overhauled over here, you can read it in its proper order over there.
Tumblr media
XIV: The life and times of Louis XIV as told by Louis XIV--if you haven't figured that out yet. It is part of Book III; his father's story (@thesecretofthehouseofbourbonbook) is Book II.
Tumblr media
Now, about that other book: The original title of the book (that was going to be written by my former co-author) was Monsieur. If you guess that the book was going to be about Philippe I, Duc d'Orléans (younger brother of Louis XIV), you were right.
Tumblr media
If you think this is a retelling of centuries of rumor and innuendo, you would be wrong. This will be his story--told by Philippe. Under the title of Son of France (Fils de France in French), this is the story you were never told. After 383 years, it is time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His story officially began in January of 2024, and he will be following his brother Louis here once he debuts on Wattpad. Stay tuned for more. He's part of the universe now.

June 12, 2023: Beta Readers Wanted
Hello. How are you doing? I think I should explain a few things. Let me get this out of the way first: I will be looking for beta readers for the first part of the book XIV.
Tumblr media
Yes, XIV is about Louis XIV. How did you know? Anyway, it is a long book and it will be here always: @lesecretdelamaisondubourbon.
Long story short: a famous person DMs me to ask to read my work and I had to make it possible. I write a lot (@tkwrtrilogy @tkwrtrilogy @tkwrtrilogy3 @trenarnolegolaslasgalen and all subsequent side projects), and this trilogy is part of my work. So, naturally, I decided that why should the famous person have all the fun? I decided to make it possible for a few beta readers to read Part I of XIV (which is a trilogy within an actual trilogy now because each part is as long as a book). Good, now that you know that...
Tumblr media
Yes, Monsieur has his own book--which brings me to what I should explain (more about this particular trilogy).
Tumblr media
This is Part II of Book III--NOT of XIV (which is about Louis XIV). This is a separate book. It is written by @fortunatelyclevercandy (who is also working on @thehouseofdurin). Clearly, this book is entitled Monsieur (because, as everyone knows, Monsieur was the honorific title of the second-born son of a French Monarch).
Tumblr media
Part I of Book III is the book XIV written by @iamjaynaemarie (the person writing this blog post, and author of the abovementioned blogs about The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy).
Yes, THIS book is about Louis XIV. This book is the one that will be available in November for a select group of readers.
Tumblr media
This is a trilogy. Why is it a trilogy?
Tumblr media
This is why*. It's a family affair. Interestingly enough, this family makes all other royal families look like Disney by comparison. The years of movies and television shows didn't even scratch the surface.
⚠️ BY THE WAY: People seem to be having issues with WordPress and reading this book, so I am going to figure out what is going on today and probably until tomorrow. I don't know what happened. It works for me obviously because I'm the one posting things on my website. But for some reason, it is not working for readers, so I'm going to be looking into that today and probably over the next few days to rectify this issue. In the meantime, anyone not on WordPress please try to read Tumblr for a while. I hope it doesn't take too long.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, the KING is NOT HAPPY about that.
So, that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed all that. Thank you for reading.--JMM.
Tumblr media
Every family has a secret. Some have more than others.
Tumblr media
Welcome to the House of Bourbon. Enjoy your stay.
*Book I will be the last book completed. It is going through some minor outline changes as the overall tone of the trilogy has shifted to deal with our favorite recurring theme: Brothers.
Tumblr media
Note: This book is also written in multiple languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German. This means that the actual text of the book will casually flip between languages (mostly in dialogue). This is done because, interestingly enough, Louis XIV was fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German. His brother Philippe preferred Spanish to his native French, but he was also multilingual as his best friend was Italian, his first wife was English, and his second wife spoke German. 🙂

I was going to take my work off of Facebook--until the iceberg that was Elon Musk hit Twitter and turned it into Titanic. See, that sink was symbolic. So now, this weekend has to be spent helping my Twitter followers find me elsewhere (and setting up shop elsewhere).
All you need to know (for now) is at the end of this WordPress article.

I am taking my work off of Facebook. Once again, I was banned for 24 hours just for using the word "h*te". I was calling out h*te speech. But doing that is against their community standards. I am through with their unprofessionalism. I will not allow this company to diminish my name or my hard work with their frivolity and nitpicking. I have work to do, and I need a platform that allows me to do that work. Facebook is not that platform.
From now on, I will only be found on this platform--which often blocks my work that in NO way breaks their standards but somehow my readers complain to me about how @support somehow blocks a book that has NO graphic sex or violent language whatsoever (and ZERO images of said topics). I do not know how companies stay in business banning everything and taking issue with common words in the English language without regard to context.
Tumblr media
Either way, if you wish to download the books upon completion, watch this space. The books will always be available on WordPress (if they are not always available here due to Tumblr's unorthodox algorithms that end up blocking posts for unfounded reasons.
I cannot have a serious social media presence on Facebook. It was started by an arrogant little college student for other college students and its business acumen over the years has not matured with the times.--JMM

YES, we're still on WordPress.
For anyone NOT using Tumblr, HOB (as we call it) is now live on WordPress. This week's excerpt is available here. As many books as we write (and this one is a trilogy), we may have to relocate at some point. For now, everything is good*.
Tumblr media
*Providing the internet isn't so darn slow it takes hours to upload something that normally takes minutes.
Most of the uploading to WordPress will be done by my co-author (and quite possibly 24 hours after it is posted here) because she knows what she's doing more than I do. So, like the kings I write about, people do things for me.

So, I'm back. I briefly stopped off in the middle of Louis XIV's teenage years, and that was only supposed to last through February*. Needless to say, it got a little heated in there.
*Before I go any further, February is always set aside for love. So there is always something interesting to write about. There are 3 months of love here. Good luck with that.
Tumblr media
Now, as the writer of @tkwrtrilogy, @tkwrtrilogy2, @tkwrtrilogy3 @extendedtkwrtrilogyend, @tkwrtlegends, @tkwrealm, @trenarnolegolaslasgalen @tkwrtrilogylasttale, @tkwrtnewsfeed, @oflordsandkingstkwrtbook, @eeveningpostcomics, @thegnotesots, @keyldonchildrenoftheprohecy and co-author of @thesecretofthehouseofbourbonbook, @lesecretdelamaisondubourbon (as well as the now extremely infamous Instagram story known as I à XIV (and everything book here is replicated to some degree on WordPress, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook), I am busy. But this is the new writing schedule for one of the books (this one). With everyone jacked up on Louis' love life, the next excerpt (which is already done and ready to go) will be a nice break as Louis is back to being a 4-year-old for a little while (with his infamously outspoken baby brother Philippe raising a whole lot of heck at his side).
But, in case you missed all the love stuff, here's a sample*:
Tumblr media
This scene takes place at the Old château of Versailles before he turns into the golden box on the hill. Hell, he's only 18 years old. He's not even married, cut him some slack. Yes, he could play harpsichord (who knew).
SPOILER: There are at least 10 women before he's married. 🤫 (Fun fact: This is way too much fun for one human being to have). Either way, I cannot wait to get started. I can hardly sleep. Patience is a virtue I do not like, but I will try my hardest to remain calm.
Tumblr media
See you soon.--JMM (XIV).
*Disclaimer: This entire trilogy is based on the historical record. It is written in all the languages Louis XIV was fluent in: French, Spanish, English, and Italian. It helps that my co-author @fortunatelyclevercandy (representing all the brothers of my kings but she loves herself some Monsieur) is Italian and knows English and French. I know English, French, Spanish, and two forms of Elvish (but that is for another book entirely). Though there are some created characters, most of them are created from actual living people whose names have been lost to history (such as Isabeau in the above excerpt--yes, she did exist but her name was purposely lost to history at the command of Louis XIV himself--you'll find out why when you read the book). The story is not based on the television show Versailles or any other media representation of the House of Bourbon in the 196/7 year period we are covering. We think the actors are cute--who doesn't? I mean, seriously people. Come on! But I digress. Thank you for reading. We hope you enjoy it. And if you don't, that's okay. I will find you because that is what kings do. 😛

From now on, there will only be one writer (@iamjaynaemarie) for “The Secret of the House of Bourbon”. I shall miss my former co-author. She remains a gifted and talented writer, and I wish her well in the future. It was her decision to leave the project tonight on her own accord. I wish her Godspeed and success in the future with her endeavors. I will decide the new layout for the book in the coming days. The work will go on. Thank you.

Hello!
I’m Jaynaé Marie Miller (and will be writing as all the Kings of the House of Bourbon) Nice to meet everyone. For the most part, I’m new on Tumblr (even though I have another book on here). I’m still learning how to post things. Yes, even after over 5 years. I’m not exactly tech savvy. Enter, my co-author, @fortunatelyclevercandy (who will be writing as all the Kings’ brothers from the House of Bourbon). She knows how to figure this stuff out (and will write me 30-page books about it).
Tumblr media
Anyway, today is the first day for Louis XIV to make his debut. It will be on Wordpress today. There is a reason I shifted gears and began working on Book III of @thesecretofthehouseofbourbonbook, but the main reason was because my co-author was working on Book III while I was starting Book II and I wanted to maintain consistency. However, that does not mean I will not continue working on Book II. I multitask (probably because I had ADHD). So, I will be working on a few projects at the same time (including @tkwrtrilogy3, that is still in progress). Please Note: At some point, years from now, this will all make sense.
Tumblr media
Anyway, I look forward to what I do best--writing. Whether or not I’m good at it, I will let you decide. I just hope you will enjoy it.
The very first for Louis XIV is here.

Welcome to the News from The House of Bourbon!
We don’t have much to say as we believe the story will speak for itself. However, we do have developments. The first one being the article “Becoming Louis XIV: The Literary Evolution of Louis XIV” here.
