CHEESY ITALIAN OMELETTE- Keto Diet

INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp butter
3 thin slices deli Sopressata (you can sub in salami or prosciutto if that’s what you have)
6 fresh basil leaves
5 thin slices fresh, ripe tomato
2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Whisk together the eggs and water in a small bowl.
Melt the butter in a nonstick saute pan over low to medium heat.
Pour in the egg mixture and cook for 30 seconds.
Spread the meat slices on one half of the egg mixture. Top with the cheese, tomatoes, and basil slices. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook for about 2 minutes or until the empty half of the egg mixture is firm enough to fold over the ingredients. Use a spatula to gently fold the omelette in half.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat for another minute or two or until the omelette is cooked through and there is no raw egg left in the middle.
To remove, tilt the pan and slide the omelette gently out onto a plate.

Why has the Paleo Diet Stuck Around Longer Than Other Fad Diets?

I’m not one to pay much attention to the “latest and greatest” when it comes to recently popular diet regimes. I’m a health enthusiast, but I’ve grown tired of seeing these supposedly “well-researched” weight loss schemes that apparently provide miraculous results, come and go. The marketing machines that push these diets (and all the associated products of course) are colossal. Then within 6 to 12 months…. it’s over! Another diet takes front and center stage, much better than that last fad diet of course, and the cycle continues. The Paleo diet seems to have bucked this trend though.
When it first took the world by storm nearly a decade ago, the Paleo diet looked just like every other fad diet. It pricked my attention for a short moment, but without looking into it in any depth, I had made up my mind. It was another shallow fad diet, and I wasn’t going to be suckered. No thanks!
It wasn’t until nearly three years later I decided to revisit the Paleo diet. It had been popular much longer than the other fad diets of recent times. It appeared to have mustered a cult-like following that went beyond the fickle weight-loss fanatics, and it had become the �paleo lifestyle’ rather than just the paleo diet. This lifestyle had penetrated deeply into the beliefs and practices of the broader health-conscious community. I had to take a closer. Why was this diet so well-liked? Why was it so effective in changing longer-term eating habits? How had it found legs that carried it beyond “fad” status to a legitimate healthy lifestyle choice? I researched, I ate Paleo, I talked Paleo, and this is what I found out.
1. Has a Focus on Nutritional Value versus Weight Loss
The paleo diet has a focus on removing processed foods and replacing them with fresh, whole foods that provide nutrition. Although some of the early efforts by the “marketing machine” I spoke about earlier tried to emphasize a focus on weight loss, the true blue paleoists are much more concerned with nutrition over weight loss. Weight loss comes as a result of focusing on improved nutrition and prioritizing and limiting certain foods for that specific reason. This was a welcome change from many other fad diets that were all about calorie counting and calorie reduction as the ultimate goal.
2. Carb Intake Should be Tailored to Your Specific Bodies Needs
When it comes to carb intake, other regimes seem to take an absolute approach to their value. Either they’re horrible, and you should eliminate them as much as possible, or their great and you should eat much more of them than you are. A paleo diet takes the approach that you should reduce your carb need to fit your personal needs. If you have a low metabolic rate or suffer from insulin resistance, for instance, your intake should be a lot lower than someone with a naturally high metabolic rate. It takes a sensible approach that resonates with people.
3. Identifies Inflammation as a Key Health Issue That can be Addressed Through Diet
The prevalence of inflammation in our bodies and its effect on our general health is supported by a large and varied range of evidence. Paleo addresses this issue through dietary means, and the results are hard to deny.

The paleo diet has never hailed itself as just a be-all-end-all fix to your health problems or as a narrow weight loss diet. It recognizes the need for a reasonable level of exercise and other generally healthy lifestyle practices.
After educating myself on the subject of Paleo its not hard to see why it has become a lifestyle rather than just another failed fad diet. I am now a Paleo convert and would recommend practicing its principles as a means to better general health and wellbeing and weight loss that is appropriate to accommodate that.

Not to mention they provide increase in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients so you’d better start taking more of that daily.
Black coffee
A cup of morning coffee can help in suppressing appetite and help in burning calories this will assist you in helping reduce that excess fat as research has shown that coffee stimulates thermogenesis which heats up the body and also boosts metabolism. And hey it’s also a known fact that it can reduce the risk of heart diseases, cancer, diabetes, liver diseases and neurodegenerative diseases. But don’t overdo it.
Plain old water
One of the most obvious and common drink to take for weight loss is water, as studies have shown that taking water before each meal may increase weight loss by 2 kg (4.4 lbs) over a 12-week period. If plain old water just isn’t enough for you, can spice it up with a little bit of lemon or even better a slice of cucumber.
Sticking with these tips in addition with your daily exercises and your already planned food should help you in getting that dream body you’ve always wanted. All that’s required is determination and a little bit of patience and in time you’ll have achieved that perfect shape.
