I sometimes feel like a paradox wrapped in an enigma, but then I learned most people feel that way. I go by Giggles. :)

Yesterday I asked my gardening-loving friend if a flower I had seen at their house was a species I had heard about. They were curious, not having heard of the species I mentioned, but said it wasn't that one, but probably [some other species I forgot].
Problem - I asked them if they were growing a fictional flower. Reason - I didn't know it was made up for the story. And it looked just like it.
I feel like that is part offensive, part spreading bad info, and part funny.

I just remembered my second Pride, where I made different flag themed daisy chain bracelets/necklaces to hand out. I need folks to understand something:
They were free.
They were fucking free.
They were maybe ¢60 of acrylic yarn each at the most, and the whole ziploc bag of them took 2 hours max.
Three people gave me sad eyes until I took their money.
Someone who was clearly the mom friend of their group made me take a $5 and gave a 10 minute pep talk.
At least four more people insisted on getting change to pay for the, once again, free bracelets.
In spite of all these shenanigans, the absolute best was this one person who I can only describe as, “queer surfer dude who looks like a boyfriend who looks like a girlfriend.” I can remember nothing of the outfit, only the impeccable vibes. I did the same thing I did with everyone else, explaining the bracelets were free, and they nodded along as they took the last 6 strand rainbow bracelet. As soon as they had it on their wrist, they pointed at something over my shoulder and, like a fool, I looked.
Next thing I know, they’re running off cackling, yelling, “YOU’LL NEVER CATCH ME!” and I’m holding a fucking $20. I had to stop at least two people from chasing them, cause they thought the person stole something, and then they tried to give me money cause they thought it was funny seeing me flail over people being Too Nice.
That was the year I got reverse-robbed at Pride. I hope everyone out there is having a good time and, in particular, that queer surfer dude is out there still causing benevolent chaos.

An old and homely grandmother accidentally summons a demon. She mistakes him for her gothic-phase teenage grandson and takes care of him. The demon decides to stay at his new home.
#wholesome#story#<3#the image of a clawed hand carefully clasping a tiny teacup handle will live rent free in my mind i think

Good to know that the showrunners are being very deliberate in keeping Murderbot aroace, since I've been some people being worried they would ignore that part of the books.

This is a tea checkpoint.
Is your tea getting cold?
Did you turn on your kettle and forget about it and now the water is cold again?
Is the tea bag still in?
Did you intend to start the tea making process and forget?
Congratulations! You remember now.

But some people do more
And some people do less
But everyone who does what they do
Succeeds by managing their stress
So lay down your head
And get some rest

Hello, fellow fandom-obsessed creatives! Please join us for the 10th (!!!) edition of #AggressivelyArospecWeek!
Every year, #AggressivelyArospecWeek (#AAW for short) is an occasion to promote the creation of arospec fancontent by arospec creators. For an entire week, people on the aromantic spectrum celebrate their experiences through fandom and art.
For this event, "fancontent" means any creation related to a fandom, whether it's a headcanon, a piece of meta, fanfic, fanart, a playlist,... All fandoms are welcome!
The content created for this event should center a character's arospec identity (this can be a canon identity or a headcanon).
We only accept entries from creators who identify as being on the aromantic spectrum or who are questioning whether they might be.
This event is an opportunity for creators to explore their identities through fanwork within a supportive community. It's also a perfect way for fans of all kinds (arospec or not) to enjoy art and have fun!
Join us from June 22 to June 28 2025 for an explosion of arospec fancontent on your dash!
To submit content to the event, please make a new post between June 22 and June 28 and tag it as #AggressivelyArospecWeek. You can also submit your work directly to our blog through the ask and submission boxes. Your post will then be shared on the Aggressively Arospec blog.
A collection will also be opened on Archive of Our Own to round up all the fanfics posted on there. Just search for "Aggressively Arospec Week '25" in the "Post to collections" tab when you're posting on AO3.
Help us make the 10th year of this event another success! We've only come this far through your support and creativity.
Please, take a second to share this post so your followers get to join in the fun as well 💚
(For more information, check out our "About" page or our FAQ section. If you need some inspiration, you can also check out all previous submissions in our #AggressivelyArospecWeek tag.)

What's the last movie you watched?
Honor Among Thieves! Watched it over 3 nights with my roomie after some busy days and it was perfect.
I had wanted to revisit it, and I still really love the dialogue, but this time I also understood the plot more, and I also realized that one thing that probably makes it so fun to watch is the no-expense-spared in the settings. They may only be shown traveling through a wheatfield for a few lines of dialogue but that ADDS a whole nother setting and feel and visual and part of the world. Very cool that they did that imo.

Documenting the Damage: 100 Harmful Policies from the First 100 Days of Trump's Second Term
The second Trump administration has had the busiest first 100 days of any US presidency in nearly a century. Since January, I've been keeping a spreadsheet documenting 900+ policy changes and political developments. I then bundled many of the most important changes into 100 topics areas and wrote a summary of each of them, providing a semi-comprehensive account of the tremendous changes to US politics which have occurred.

Part II: Civil Rights and Liberties
Part III: Economy and Public Services
Part IV: Environment and Energy
Part V + Conclusion: Foreign Policy

can u guys rb this n add how you crack your eggs in the tags? i thought cracking them in the sinks’s edge is universal until i saw my friend cracking an egg on the counter instead and it was so pervese and diabolical
#I was taught cracking them on the side of a bowl#but my go to now is#cracking them on a flat surface#since most of my bakes are egg-less#i generally am pan-cooking eggs#so I crack them on the stove top#really neat to see all the different options
