My Little Pony Character Bio: Nethertail

A male unicorn with a dark gray coat, heterochromic eyes (the left one yellow and the right one green), a spiky light-gray mane and tail leading to an equally spiky mop of hair on his head and a cutie mark in the shape of a gavel.

While somewhat acerbic, Nethertail has a strong sense of justice; unfortunately this involves a binary sense of right and wrong, believing those who commit genuine misdeeds shouldn’t be given leeway, leading to him acting cold and snidely towards those he’s aware of having done truly terrible things whether they actually ended up regretting it or not.

This inevitably creates problems with those he attempts to become friends with as more often than not they get upset due to his excessive prodding. When he tries getting them to see things his way they end up turning on him, leaving him bitter. Because of this he believes true friends should be those who would never turn on or exploit one another for any reason.

However, he doesn’t believe in racial superiority and is angered by those who do to the point of voicing his disdain towards them regardless of the consequences.

He has the innate ability to detect malice from the past misdeeds of others and has even trained himself to “smell” it from miles away. His magic revolves around forcing others to confront their worst decisions, regardless of their morality or mindset.

Hello there, and this may seem unusual, but here’s an idea for what a sequel to My Little Pony: Equestria Girls would be like:

I saw a Reddit thread saying that Sunset Shimmer would become the new principal of Canterlot High School, having grown up, grown older and grown apart from her friends. Much like Equestria in the new era, Canterlot High would be divided and full of strife, not just among the students but the faculty as well, with rampant distrust having spread to the rest of the community and even affected fellow school Crystal Prep Academy. However, all of this changes when Sunset meets a lonely but optimistic new student (the human counterpart of Sunny Starscout) who inspires her to help change things for the better.

At the same time, magic starts steadily manifesting again since the portal to Equestria stopped working due to Twilight sealing magic away on the other side. As time goes on, Opaline Arcana, the corrupt woman who sowed division amongst everyone for her own personal gain hears of the positivity resurgence in both Canterlot High and Crystal Prep, sending her adoptive daughter Misty Brightdawn to infiltrate the community. Despite trying to stay on task, Misty inevitably follows the same course of action as her pony counterpart and stands against her adoptive mother, stopping her heinous plans and landing her in trouble with the authorities due to her schemes.

P.S. What do you think the motivation of Opaline’s human world counterpart would be instead? Besides the obvious backstory of being a sleazy, reclusive businesswoman who knew former Canterlot High staff members principal Celestia and vice principal Luna, what would her true goal be? Please let me know.

Personally, I think the showdown between Sunny Starscout and the Opaline of the past would be quite epic. Opaline doesn’t know that Sunny was responsible for her defeat in the future, while Sunny wishes to prevent Opaline from doing anything before she can get her plans off the ground.
