I read the song of Achilles and I know late to the party but I’m gonna give my opinions. First of all I was gifted this book by a family member who found out about my special interest in greek mythology. I can say I did enjoy the book it had its flaws like any book but only one part did I truly dislike. That being the one scene between Dadiamia and Patroclus. I am demi sexual and this scene was so hard for me to get through I also listened to this scene by an audiobook which might have made it worse. It felt unnecessary for the plot of a book about Achilles and Patroclus’ relationship. It also felt sort of out of no where for me as there wasn’t really any emotional build up between them other then just before the scene. I also I didn’t want to skip it because of the possibility of it having a lot of impact on the plot. But this is more of a personal problem

saw your post about moomin audiobooks but can't seem to reply to it, but wanted to try and help if I could. I don't personally know any trustworthy free VPNs but I know Mullvad is a good one that's $5/month but on a pay-how-much-you-want basis, so you could just grab one month from it and go on a crazy moomins search. I also personally use alternativeto.net to find free software and what people say about it, if that helps with free VPNs. But otherwise, have you looked on YouTube for the audiobooks? I know there is a few there and some people also do their own readings of the books there.

I have looked on youtube and only was able to find to high quality reading of them and it was the great flood and comet in moomin land

Ok so can someone please explain what the Magnus archives is about all I know about it is that it’s a horror audio drama. I kinda need someone to rate how scary it is because I have heard people say it’s very close to lovecraftion horror. I also have heard people call it tragic so how much it will emotionally damage me.

I am basically wondering if I should get into it?
