(Continuation from previous ask, I would've answered them together but I literally got this second part while I answered the previous one, LOL!)

OOOOOH! The female characters in ATLA are SO well-written! So once again, high praise, thanks so much! 😁

I think Katara and Roxanne especially have a lot in common, since they have a pretty good balance of femininity and courageous strenght, a maternal care for others around them, a strong sense of justice, and they're stubborn in the best way possible! 😆

Ty Lee's agile and gymnastic fighting style might be the one that reminds me most of Roxanne, now that you mention it haha. There's also the whole "bright, positive, and friendly but with deep insecurities hidden underneath" aspect, personality-wise, so I see it for sure!

Toph might be the one that I think is the least like Roxanne, but that's not to say they don't have things in common, since they certainly do! Much like Toph, Ro can be VERY fierce when she wants to, she is quite determined, and can often get underestimated due to her appearance by other people, only to swiftly prove them wrong! 😉

Once again, such an honor to have my OC compared to such incredible characters, thanks! 😊✨

I enjoyed A Second Chance so far and Roxanne reminds me of Rumi, Zoey, Mira, Mulan, Belle and Ariel and Lottie too! I adore Roxanne as one of my favourite OCs!

That's quite a collection of characters haha! The 3 Huntrix girls are high praise since I love them a lot and have definitely become a great recent source of inspiration! As I've said, Rumi is the one Roxanne reminds me of the most, though she does have traits of the other two for sure.

Can't forget about the Disney Princesses of course, since Ro is basically like a Disney Princess became a Marvel superhero, LOL! Belle's the one that's directly influenced her writing the most, but I can totally see bits of Mulan and Ariel in her, especially Mulan. Lottie is a suprise I must say haha 😂 Charlotte is FAAAAAAAAR more outgoing and confident than Roxanne, but hey, Ro is not without her bubbly and excitable moments, and I ADORE "Princess and the Frog" and all its characters. So you know what? I'll take it! 😂

This reminds me that I've yet to share the "character inspiration meme" for Roxanne and her two main villains to this site. I feel like it needs a few updates since the last time I posted it, but I'll share the new version one of these days. 😉

I'm curious about how many chapters will be in A Second Chance.

I debated whether answering this question or not since I kinda wanted this to be a surprise, but hey why not, let's make it a Tumblr exclusive! 😜

The arc that Julienne and I are currently writing, which we are planning to end with chapter 22, is actually going to be the last arc of "A Second Chance", hence making the fanfic 22 chapters long.

HOWEVER!

ASC is not the end of Roxanne and Bucky's story by a long shot. 👀

If all goes well, in 2026, we'll begin posting ASC's SEQUEL FANFIC! 😆

That's right, folks! In order for the entire story to not be a 100 chapter-long fic (haha 😅), we've decided to divide it into parts! 😁 How many parts will we have in total? Well, we've planned it out, but you guys will have to find out as the story progresses. 😉

So yeah, that's why these upcoming few chapters are such a big deal for us, cause it's gonna be the end of an era but the beginning of a new one for the Sedaverse and Rocky!

If any of our ASC readers see this, I hope you can look forward to it. 😊 We'll make a more proper announcement once the final chapter is done, along with the reveal of the sequel's name, cover, and all that good stuff. We are so close, you guys :')

Reblogging because I finally watched Thunderbolts*, and now I can say with a lot more certainty that my co-author and I have officially done a better job developing and setting up the relationship between Roxanne and Bucky than the TB* writers did with Bucky's relationship with ANYONE in that movie. 😬

Hi, Alpine and Jello ♡ (Jello is Roxanne's cat BTW)

Since this brings up a good opportunity to mention it, here is my stance on Thunderbolts* and how it fits into the Sedaverse for those curious:

The events of the movie Thunderbolts* (I refuse to use the new title) will not be canon to the Sedaverse at any point because, to my consideration, this movie's characterization of Bucky was poorly executed, a detriment to the character in several ways, and does not allign with his arc and development in previous MCU projects, especially TFATWS, my personal favorite Bucky project that I heavily based his writing in "A Second Chance" on, and a show that the TB* writers seem to have skipped altogether. Without delving too much into spoilers for either project, I can tell you that if I wrote TB* into the Sedaverse, I would have to either split Roxanne and Bucky up, or kill Roxanne off for it to work, and I do not want to do either of those things. I do not want to adapt this film into my AU, because it would mean taking away what Bucky and Roxanne spend the entirety of the fanfic working so hard to achieve, just for the sake of cheap drama. So I will not do it. It's my fanfic, and I will do what I want. Kindly deal with it.

I don't share my ASC pencil sketches often, but I'm making an exception with these cause I thought she turned out very pretty. 🌸💖

Update on the future of "A Second Chance" below the cut. ⬇️

So, my goal is to hopefully post Chapter 20 before the end of August. However, I cannot make any promises because I will get my wisdom teeth taken out this Saturday :'D And I have literally no idea how much recover time I'll need, or if I'll feel well enough to draw next week or not. It's my first ever surgery, so we shall see how well I'll hold up. 😅

As the saying goes: let's prepare for the worst and hope for the best! In the worst-case scenario, the chapter will be up in early September. Either way, it's coming soon, and I'll keep you guys updated.

As side note, sorry that I haven't done much non-fanfic art for this account lately. It's partially of my currently poor time management skills (😬), and partially because we're nearing the end of the current ASC arc, and we're kinda locking in on that so we can make these last few chapters the best we can!

The fic will probably go on a little hiatus for the rest of the year once the arc is done, Julinene and I could use it. 😅 And during that time, I'm hoping to make more low-pressure Rocky and Sedaverse drawings, including giving our two AUs a bit more love, since they've been a bit abandonded lately! 🥲💔

I know the phrase "So much to do and so little time" can be a bit overused, but BOY is it TRUE. 😅 Either way, I hope you guys can look forward to what's coming to this account. Trust me, even when the posts slow down, there is always something cooking. 😉

Using my free will to draw these guys eating Guatemalan snacks x'D For those who don't know, Roxanne's adoptive family is originally from Guatemala. So Sam, Joaquin, Bucky and her are either visiting the country with them, or maybe went there on a mission and decided to visit a fair once they were done to unwind and have fun, hehe. You guys choose. ^^

Sam - Plataninas (plantain chips)

Bucky - Agua de jamaica

Roxanne - Elote loco (corn with a variety of toppings, hers is the most classic one with cheese, ketchup, mustard and mayo)

Joaquin - Enchilada guatemalteca (basically a tostada with a LOT more toppings, including beet, minced meat, hard-boiled egg, lettuce, onion, salsa, and more. Famously SUPER messy to eat, as you can see xD)
