ideal living situation is what i call the 'sitcom special' : having all your closest friends live in the same apartment building or neighborhood where you each have your own space but can wander in and out of eachothers homes at will, seemingly always welcome and never at bad times. and also all of you only have jobs when its important to the plot.

slightly angsty merlin fic idea (but it’s just bad communication and giving booze to a lightweight)

ok so the knights and merlin are out in the forest and decide to play a drinking game like never have i ever and merlin gets progressively drunker v fast and starts spilling facts about his past that he’d been keeping secret and that sober merlin would never tell the knights

so far, this is basically the plot of Guilty or Not by MyAmisFics (it’s a great fic 10/10 would recommend!)

but arthur and the knights already know about merlin’s magic. they just haven’t told him that they know and that it’s okay.

after merlin starts spilling more and more, they start to feel bad about the information they’re learning while merlin’s not in control. so one of them, probably lance or arthur, asks drunk merlin if he can spell people sober and merlin’s like omggg yes it’s so helpful when gwaine passes out drunk so he doesn’t get hungover in the morning (gwaine loves him omg) and they ask him if he will spell himself sober

merlin does it and immediately freezes and realizes everything he’s just said and did. he’s visibly starting to panic and starts spewing apologies whilst hyperventilating “imsorryimsosorryimsorryimsorryimsoso-“ lance had already been holding him but he cuts himself off when he felt someone gently take his hands. he looks up and arthur is knelt in front of him with a soft smile.

basically arthur reassures him that he’s okay and he didn’t need to be scared of any of them. merlin launches himself at arthur and they hug eachother while merlin cries into his shoulder for so long the knights straight up leave to give them privacy.

merthur get together or maybe established relationship pls idk but omg guys PLEASE
