Breaking in the new sketchbook with a little diary comic.

I didn’t tell any of my friends on the day about what March 28th means for me, and the comic itself is a reference back to a conversation I had with someone a few weeks ago.

It’s been two years, since the original March 28th. I hate the day because of what happened, but a part of me is proud of myself. Proud that I’m still here. Proud that that fucker didn’t break me. Proud that, no matter how many friends I lost, I found better ones.

My real love showed me what genuine love and sacrifice is. My friends showed me that, even broken, I was - and still am - worth having around. The people who left me showed me that I am so much stronger than I imagined I ever could be.

I’ve been told that I have the right to celebrate every day, for not giving in. For not letting everything break me. For recovering. It isn’t easy, not by a long shot, and it hurts like hell some days. The memories, the what-ifs, the whole “I wish” thing. (Hell, I’m still a little ashamed for even mentioning it, but that part’s a work in progress.)

But I’m proud as hell of myself for being here.

And you should be too.

Remake of an old Peter Cushing as Mr. Darcy sketch dump I did. Still forever sad that that is forever lost to the destroyed archives.

Adam Frankenstein Sketch Frankenstein doesn't give any exact dates but I always imagined it taking place over the course of several years and I love to head cannon that as those years progress Adam begins to look a little more put together, a little more polished and even his gestures and expressions gain maturity and nuance. He doesn't physically age but he refines his mimicry of the people he observes. In particular he starts to dress and wear his hair like Victor. Each time Victor sees him Adam's clothing and hair become neater as he loses the innocence of the brand new creature who found a tattered old coat in the woods. By the time he and Victor begin their race to the arctic The Creature has found ways to interact with humans and obtain supplies and clothing though he still finds himself hated and shunned by the population at large. He is nothing if not adaptable.

Meanwhile Victor deteriorates. He begins to neglect his hair and clothing until he looks as ragged and wild as Adam did at the beginning of their story. By the time they meet again in the arctic neither of them resemble who they once were.
