Give Me Away

Premise: A space ship landed with a computer that 10,000 souls trapped inside, with no way out and in alot of pain. An initiative was started to extract said souls and bond them to volunteers. It’s a big responsibility and the org down in Nevada doesn’t accept just anyone. Follows a out-of-his-funk dad Graham.

On a personal note, it’s hard to find positive representation of Dissasociative Identity Disorder. I’ve had my best experiences with watching stuff usually through unintended metaphor like Steven Universe. On occasional, literal like Moon Knight [2022 miniseries] and Set this House In Order by Max Ruff

Oddly enough, I’ve never found a literal (or in this case unintended metaphor) in podcast form. While I did watch it early in my discovery of my system so it was a bit triggering, now that I know myself its waaaaay more fun.

For those who are just now meeting their system, maybe hold off on this? If not, totes check it out!

It can be intense at times, I’m not gonna lie but seeing how Graham interacts with his new headmate, struggling to talk to people while having a parallel conversation in his head, needing to share his headmates words without judgement, etc is just so heartwarming.

I’m desperate for anything remotely representation and this made me feel less alone, I guess. *shrugs*

World Gone Wrong

Premise: Malik and Jamie host a podcast about the world being flipped on its head. Werewolves, aliens, body snatchers and more are common place occurances in this insane world mixed with more everyday experiences

Ask Your Dad

This spectacular work of drama set far in the future when human and artificial intelligence work together in the endless void. Our intrepid engineer, Lem, and the ship’s AI, Mikey, work to live in space after their ship’s thrown off course and find a way home.

Kevin R Free’s performance as Mikey is absolutely phenomenal! From the humor to just the charisma is infectious which acts as an AMAZING foil for Sean Williams as Lem who’s a bit of a stick in the mud but he’s trying folks. Our little depresso expresso has had better days.

Lem’s character also explores how living so far from his two kids feel (surprisingly played by child actors). It’s heart warming and wrenching as Lem tries his best to hold it together.

I reccommend you check out this wonderful work of art!

For those outer space scifi geeks out there, this is a must see!

Summary (from podcast)

Lem, a human, and Mikey, an A.I., are piloting the first ever faster than light speed ship when they find themselves twice as far as they meant to go, without any fuel to return. They communicate with Earth using tiny faster-than-light-speed drives, which carry information for Mikey and questions for Lem from his kids. As they work together to solve the problem, they forge a friendship that could change the course of human history.
