the old me

the happy

optimistic soul

that lived under

the skin i carry

the old me

filled with dreams

aspirations

and ambitions

always reaching

for the clouds

it’s darker now

a never ending storm

entered

a couple of years ago

and it seems

it takes a lot more

than dreams to kill it

i never really

managed to

and as far as i know

you’ve burned your way

into the inner piece

i once had

out of all the wooden sticks

in the world

you always were

the perfect

match for me

the plants
