This the first full #book I have #read in probably 2 decades. I have not been diagnosed with #bpd , a friend of mine has been. I honestly never heard of BPD until this diagnoses. In picking up this #book I was only looking to gain some #knowledge on this disorder. Not expecting at all to see an enormous image of myself staring back at me. Things that have plauged me for many many years have surfaced as something I was not aware of, thus not being able to do anything about! By no means am I diagnosing myself with this. I didn't go through the steps to get the real answer, I'm posting this to raise awareness that you may be dealing with a disorder or illness you are not aware of. If you are have trouble dealing with every day life and responsibilities, it's possible you can be silently dealing with a hidden problem and it's ok to open up about it. I say this fully aware that I am not great at opening up and talking about my feelings and emotions...one has to start somewhere. #learning is where that starts. It's hard to believe where the time goes. I can vividly remember the first time I met you all as if it were yesterday. Oh man where has the time gone? My Son, you were the first. Sitting on the deck 20 minutes from the hospital...a trip that took only 5 that day, to meet you! I never knew it would feel this way, blindsided by a love that has no boundaries! None. No country, no distance, no time seemed to ever diminish that feeling when we seen each other again! This is where it starts...no matter who you are, how smart you are, how talented you are. If you can't learn, you can't earn. There is a method out there for EVERYONE to learn the skills they need to be successful in whatever you want to be successful in. I'm a slow reader, a even slower retainer of information who came from the depths of addiction depression anxiety an untreated disease ( Crohn's) which basically depleted my body of nutrients which in turn made kicking habits and depression even more difficult...and I'm learning the steps I need to, in order to make my life different and have a better future!
