The Midnight Library- Matt Haig
“And that sadness is intrinsically part of the fabric of happiness. You can’t have one without the other. Of course, they come in different degrees and quantities. But there is no life where you can be in a state of sheer happiness for ever. And imagining there is just breeds more unhappiness in the life you’re in.”
“Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices… Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?”

Norwegian wood - Haruki Murakami
This book's portrayal of loss, grievance and death was, paradoxically, real and alien at the same time... If that even makes sense.
Kinda like the moment when you first see an actual body of a person, lying within your reach and you just feel so out of terms with reality.
I am still unsettled by this book/10
I should've read this sooner.

Half Bad - Sally Green
I got this book ages back. Maybe before Covid? I don't know but I, so regret not finishing this book earlier. It kinda brought me out of my reading-slump and it was perfect. Perfect balance of wit and chill.
Oh and it's usage second person narrative is so refreshing.
I'd say this is a perfect book for those who're stuck reading badly written cliche supernatural stuff on Wattpad.
10/10- I'm buying the second book. It's part of a trilogy btw.
Annalise sucks

On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous - Ocean Vuong
I found this book rather difficult to comprehend when I initially started it.
I have this habit of focusing on every single detail and my eyes take me back towards the previous page if I'm unable make sense of a single line, a word. But to my pleasure I found out that this book is better enjoyed from afar. Sometimes it's best to let go and let the author work their way. Maybe on the third read I'll start looking at the details but right now? I quite like how this story makes me feel things I can't even start to name.
It's a 11 out of 10 for sure.

I had such a hard time, trying to pick a few lines from this book to quote. The whole book deserves to be quoted in Bold.
