Ruby: Jaune I didn't-

Jaune: No-no. We would be more profitable if we were a fighting game. And no, not a Naruto Ninja Storm rip-off, I mean BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and Street Fighter game.

Ruby: Just say 2D fighting games.

Jaune: Whatever. Ruby, what are we known for?

Ruby: Our story.

Jaune: Our fight animation.

Ruby: And our-

Jaune: Bitch, our story sucks ass. The manga died. We're in Viz Media but we still have nothing going on. We might as well be stuck in limbo. And if we get volume 10 confirmed we have to do damage control and advertisement. Our fan base could help but still.

Ruby: Okay rude. But why not like Naruto games?

Jaune: Hold on. …. ….Okay my bad, Naruto Ninja Storm is a good idea. I mean people can finally explore the streets of Remnant and fight against other characters in a 2v2. At least we can go with the official fourth game where we can switch characters.

Jaune: But the reason I say 2d is because of how many fighters we could have. Hell, your team and Neo were in 2d. Remember BlazBlue Crosstag? You all played well. It's a good start considering you already laid out the bases.

Ruby: Yeah.

Jaune: Remember BlazBlue and Guilty Gear are more known for their fighting formulas, not their stories. Even though Guilty Gear might have it better than BlazBlue. 

Ruby: Based on opinion. To each his own.

Jaune: And with so many characters with their own lives and personalities, seeing that in a game where you can play as them and catch up with their lives. It would be amazing.

Ruby: Alright. Then who would be-

Jaune: Again so many characters any of us can be the final boss.

Jaune: And why stop there? We could have beat 'em up games and J-RPG games. We could have been Kingdom Hearts. Dynasty Warriors. Tales of series-type games. Someone made a fan-made game with that formula in mind and it is still better than our actual game. We have the potential.

Jaune: I'm just saying Ruby if we're going to be stuck in a non-productive domain we might as well think of other ways to profit off our brand. Just saying.

Jaune: Like only five of you were in the game. Which is sad.

Jaune: So Persona and Under Night in birth, somehow managed to get almost all their major players in the game. Meanwhile, we only have five. And Neo was only added because she was popular in our show. 

Ruby: Your point?

Jaune: BlazBlue Crosstag had BlazBlue, Persona, Under Night in Birth, and you, Rwby. They have almost all the major characters from three games while you have a measly five. So instead of adding more Rwby characters they used the remaining four slots for other characters. Characters who had nothing to do with the story or the brand. It is a false advertisement. 

Ruby: Wow Jaune. Are you mad?

Jaune: I'm saying Qrow, Cinder, Penny, or my team could have been in that game. Hell, why not Roman? Just saying wasted slots.

Yu: Yeah, Ruby. He has a point.

Ragna: Like a lot of our characters were in the game. It might as well be another BlazBlue game.

Volume Nine Opinion

RWBY fan: Yeah.

Me: Okay my thoughts on volume 9. Everything.

Rwby fan: Explain.

Me: Number one, ascension.

Rwby fan: What’s the problem with that?

Me: You have to kill yourself just to become a better version of yourself, instead of solving your problems the way you are, by thinking outside the box.

Rwby fan: Evidence.

Me: Paper pleasers killed themselves to make themselves heavier and to avoid floods. Even though they could have weighed themselves with rocks, sand, or bags filled with either of them, instead, they kept trying to murder themselves by being stupid like causing fires or building a rock tower that tore the barrier—causing a flood in the first place. Or Jaune could have made a bag filled with rocks or supplies, presented it to them, and trained them on how to stop most of the problems themselves. 

Rwby fan: Hm..

Me: The Red Prince. He was originally the Red King until he lost and killed himself. Unlike the paper pleaser, he never learned from his mistakes. Just cheats to get his way. Like a spoiled brat.

Rwby fan: Okay.

Me: And the caterpillar. Who really didn’t do anything wrong, at least in my case, his message was clear. Has he changed?

Me: Exactly their bodies improved but not their minds. And think about the differences between Jaune’s ascension compared to Ruby’s and the other Afterlians. He was the one who truly ascended. The rest were the opposite. They descended. As in gone to hell. Or in this case, died.

Rwby fan: … Oh. Shit.

Me: Number two, the cat, and Neo as villains.

Rwby fan: Explain.

Me: Yeah, I’m not going to lie, Neo should have traveled back with Jaune. Think about it, Neo’s semblance evolution would have made more sense considering she had years of training. She then uses her power to take over the Ever After and tries to break Jaune psychically and mentally, with her semblance becoming any of his friends. And maybe would have done a better job at driving Ruby to her end. Also-

Rwby fan: Jaune Disrespecting Team RWBY?

Me: Hell yeah.

Rwby fan: You hate them with a burning passion.

Me: You have no idea. I want to see Jaune gut-punch Yang and have her on her knees. Blake has her clone in Jaune’s hands as he stabs it making her feel the pain of her past self. I wanted Jaune to show Weiss that he is the king and slash her knight in half. And Ruby- oo-oo I wanted him to truly disrespect her. And I’m talking about Goku-level disrespect. I mean like how Jiren did Goku. How Broly disrespected Goku. It's like Aizen stopping Ichigo’s theme song.

Rwby fan: Damn man.

Me: Now the cat I understand. However, he could have been left the Ever After, so why didn’t he?

Rwby fan: He needed a vessel.

Me: Alyx. Lewis. And Jaune. Three vessels. Two wanted to leave. One wanted to stay. He had options. He did not need Alyx at all to leave. Plus why did he need a vessel in the first place?

Rwby fan: Because his soul is bound there.

Me: So you’re telling me that the gateway’s only function is to let those of another world out, but keep Afterlians in? Meaning even if the cat took over Jaune or Ruby would it have mattered considering his soul is present in the body? Also, if they ascended, shouldn't they also have a right to leave like the gods?

Rwby fan: So it would have been impossible to leave regardless.

Me: Yes and no. You see Jaune was able to leave because he was willing to let go of Alyx, Penny, and the paper pleasers. Even Juniper. He moved on. The cat on the other hand was fully petty to the bitter end. Think about how he manipulates people. He tells them half-truths while dabbling in his riddles. He uses his power to get his way by any means. And if false ascension has been a problem in the Ever After, who's the main cause for it?

Rwby fan: Oh my god, Jaune was right.

Me: And if you pay attention to his dialogue. He thinks too damn highly of himself. It’s why the leaves don’t work on him. He doesn’t believe anything is wrong with him. He’s a psycho. Back on topic, him and Neo should have been partners from the start. Mad Hatter and Curious Cat would have been the greatest duo. Also, he should have taken over Jaune’s body by killing Ruby, making him give up. Or use his friends as hostages so Jaune fights him on equal terms. Either way the cat possesses Jaune’s body turning the fight into a hostage situation where team Rwby has to hold back cause they don't want to kill their friend.

Rwby fan: Shoot I can see that story-wise.

Me: Speaking of Jaune, number four, the relationship between Jaune, The cat, Lewis and Alyx. I was fine with Alyx betraying Jaune but I would like a reason behind it. Like the cat plants the seed of doubt in her or Neo showing Alyx Jaune’s dark side. Not Alyx just being an asshole.

Rwby fan: mm.

Me: Plus I would have preferred if Alyx was Juniper all along because she wanted to be with Jaune and get him home. And it would have been better if she had a chance to talk to Jaune face to face instead of it being in his head or a quiet spirit who just sees him and leaves. Again, being an asshole. Or her being more of a guide for team RWBY. 

RWBY fan: Hm. That actually makes sense considering reincarnation and souls.

Me: As for Jaune I would have liked that he knew how the tree works and how to get there. Also, he knew what happened to Alyx and Lewis because he has been through the story.

RWBY fan: Really?

Me: Yeah it fits Jaune’s character, making him not only the key for team RWBY as a guide but also as a foil to the Cat. Where the Cat is holding their hands guiding them in the wrong direction while Jaune does the opposite. He gives them straight answers. He would also test them. Make them think. Even call them out on things specific to them individually or as a group. Think about it, Jaune has been with team RWBY for a while so if he questions them it would make sense. After all, they are theoretically the reason he was in the Ever After in the first place. 

RWBY fan: Oh my God.

Jaune fan: Full statement.

Me: Basically, Jaune travels back in time. Meets Alyx and Lewis while Neo, who traveled with him, meets the cat. Jaune knows Alyx is not the same girl he read in the story but still cares for her regardless. Neo toys with the cat curiosity causing corruption. Jaune goes through the process with and without Alyx and Lewis to get to the tree while Neo tries to halt his progress. Jaune reaches the tree only to see Alyx and Lewis in danger. He tells them to leave with Lewis leaving first but Alyx couldn't. So Alyx, realizing she couldn't leave, died, protecting Jaune, subjecting him to her demise. Knowing the cat killed her, Jaune then wanted revenge on both Neo and the Cat which made him go mad. That reason was why he could no longer reach the tree or want to return home at all. So he waited for team RWBY while searching for the cat and Neo for peace. For years the cat and Neo terrorized the Ever After, leaving Jaune as its only protector. Sadly team Rwby has to convince him to go back to Remnant.

Jaune fan: Why? Why not leave after so long?

Me: Dude. Jaune, throughout the volumes should have changed the most from his armor, his moveset, and his skill. And if Neo was there she would have been pushing him to his limits. He would have been at his worst.  Pyrrha. Penny. And Alyx. The man couldn't save any of them. Not to mention, again, he learns the story of Wonderland was a lie written by Lewis. Meaning he failed him too. I would have given up after that. Especially if I go home and find out my teammates could be either dead because I wasn't there. I say as long as I save someone I can die in peace. 

Jaune fan: Damn.

Me: And think about how that would have affected the main characters, especially Ruby. Jaune has always been there for her. Now, refusing to leave the Ever After, he would be giving up on Remnant, the hunters, Ruby and their friends and family. Remember volume five, “They're the ones that matter”. That would have been peak in volume nine. 

RWBY fan: Oh my-

Me: So yeah those are my thoughts on volume nine. Back to work. Bye. Also number 5, all four of those girls would be suffering together because they all were full of shit. Especially Weiss, Blake and Yang. Like ya’ll abandon Ruby at volume three. Then came back like nothing happened in volume five. Then question her. Now when she is at her lowest point none of you bothered to talk with her. She was really carrying all of you on her shoulders and none of you looked up at her face and asked if she was okay.

Remember Qrow told us first about Salem. And Ironwood implied it by knowing the information before we even told him anything. I trust you though so I did not have a choice.

Ruby: But you-

Jaune: Yeah I got smug with him, but, I stepped down because I didn't want to go too far. However, nothing I said was false considering the circumstances. Especially with Mantle.

Ren: Jaune, the things that were going on in Mantle were temporary and things would get better once we were done with Amity.

Jaune: … Are you a f- Fiona!

Fiona: Hm.

Jaune: Fiona you are a better candidate for Mantle so please tell me was Mantle any better before all of this happened?

Fiona: No, no, it wasn't. We were already struggling financially. People were still poor but at least had steady jobs—until they got laid off. Grimm attacks were common but got worse due to the negativity, and we barely had defenses.

Ren: Which Mantle destroyed!

Jaune: Which were completely useless to begin with. The only one who defended Mantle better than all of us was Penny.

Nora: So basically it wouldn't have mattered if Amity was launched or not, nothing would have changed?

Fiona: Nope. At least not in a short amount of time.

Jaune: Wow then, um, hey.

Jaune: You gave the relic to Oscar knowing full damn well he wasn’t up to speed in combat yet. Which he lost to Neo. Then his dumbass went to talk to Ironwood knowing damn well he was willing to even put him on a wanted poster. Even though Oscar was the most honest with him.

Jaune: Now, if I started questioning James earlier, then I would have been questioning you and your authority because I was following your lead. Believe me, you would not want me to do that because I will treat you like Qrow and Ozpin. As an adult. And if I found out you didn’t have a plan either, I probably would have gone rogue and kept secrets from you.

Fionna: Wow.

Yang: Jaune I already-

Jaune: I mean if I have to kill someone if it means that plan would work, I would. And though I advocated for Robyn, that doesn’t mean I trust her.

Robyn: Wait what?

Jaune: Hell yeah, you were just lesser evil. You were stranger to me. But then you became a problem. Shit, I should have at least captured May or Fionna. Probably because they haven’t shown any combative skills.

Nora: Okay then-

Jaune: Again Fionna is a better representative for Mantle, not just for being born there but also is Faunus. She’s basically the gray area between Marrow and Blake philosophies, who both would give a biased answer with no solutions to the problem.

Jaune: Anyways. If Fionna told me what we could have done to help Mantle more than what Atlas ‘recommended’ we do, she probably wouldn’t need the supplies anymore and return them. But before I would do any of that, again, I would have needed Penny back on duty. Meaning I would’ve forced Robyn to say Penny is innocent by using her semblance on Penny. Which is the semblance everyone in Mantle knows about.

Weiss: Okay but what about my-

Jaune: Almost everything Mantle uses is from the SDC. From the voting poles and heat vents. If we had put those together the puzzle would have fallen in place.

Ruby: Wait so basically why didn’t we just divide and conquer?

Jaune: Exactly. Anyway, Weiss, your father would have been under suspicion so his role as a council member would not be official yet. So that would have given us more time. I may not be able to stop Ironwood but at least give Mantle a fighting chance. And not only that none of us have been bouncing information to one another. I mean we could have taken the city with us. Or maybe put the people in Mistral or Argus.

Weiss: Wow.

Jaune: Honestly I really should have done more. Like I don't blame Ren for being mad at me. I could have done more. I should have been questioning you especially after Heaven and Argus.

Ruby: Jaune -

Jaune: Not just you but Ironwood too. Watts wasn't smart, we were just so stupid and stubborn that we didn't bother seeing our enemy was right in front of us.

Ruby: Jaune-

Jaune: Like Mantle had so many things wrong with it. From the cameras, the androids, the robots and its defense. The treatment of its civilians. Like seriously, if we had just put Amity on hold we could have done better.

Ren Jaune -

Jaune: And let's say we could have prepared Mantle, still lost and had to evacuate them. We brought them to the most dangerous kingdom in all of Remnant. How foolish.

Ironwood: And that's why-

Jaune: Shut up. Cause James, Atlas had it coming. Its-

Me: No, let me. Ironwood, your military, even the Kingdom deserved what it got. You treat Faunuses like slaves. You never keep your people in check and make me question you all the time. Like Argus. Yeah we can blame the kids for the majority but the woman who decided to flex a giant mech over a plane hijack. What the hell?

Me: Then your soldiers have to look like the very machines you created. It's no wonder no one trusts them and it was easy to frame you. It's almost like they were trained to be the same and work as a union meanwhile keeping their individual personalities away. Probably because they were in Atlas for too long and they forgot what home or having a spine looked like. Crazy.

Ironwood: … … …

Me: Face it. Atlas was already ready to start another war. You flex your power, trying to show the world that Atlas is its biggest factor yet still refuse to humble yourselves when it comes to the rest of the world. Watts was right about you. You want control. Nothing else.

Watts: Ratchet even though you hate me I am still the smartest character in the show!

Me: Dude, remember, you were handed the win. Again, if our characters had figured shit out. Had their priorities in order. What would have been your back up plan?

Me: Not to mention, you didn't survive Atlas. You died.

Me: Then the fight with Ironwood. Bullshit. How does a scientist manage to keep up with a soldier especially in hand to hand combat? Plot.

Which I will say the writers sabotaged them because they should have given you more trouble. But you struggled against Maria. Maria who hasn't been a huntress or in combat situations for years. How?!

What I notice in this show is not just horrible character development for most of you but in combat for all of you, I notice a heavy amount of skill issues.

RWBY characters: what?!

Me: Like you Ren. Bro your weapon works. It helps you close the distance to engage with enemies. You can throw them like boomerangs. And they have grappling hook functions. But you lack the skill to use them for some reason. Again what happened to your martial arts training? Like you could have been on Vine and Emeralds level but no you are a waste. Instead of spending training time on meditating you should have been training on how to use them and corporate them into your fighting style. If you had one.

Ren: *silent*

Nora: Hey don't be too hard on him.

Me: The man was talking loud at the wrong people instead of the bitch who caused the problem. And he barely amounted to shit in the volumes. And his semblance evolving is trash. Fuck his feelings. He should have died along with his parents.

Again, Salem wanted Ruby from the start.

Me: The only alternative is instead of everyone on Ruby’s team being captured, Ren and Blake escape while Ruby along with Oscar are captured.

Ren: But then we’ll be trapped in the snow.

Me: You both have training and experience, I’m sure you both are capable of surviving. Also if the Amity started working you could have just called Fiona and she would track your call and find you. Or May could have found you considering she had a plane. Or if you still got captured by the Ace ops and still went into battle with them, you could have, I don’t know, called your friends and let them know what happened.

Ruby: But if I’m imprisoned then Neo and Cinder will find out and try to kill me.

Salem: Cinder would but I have her on a leash.

Me: Plus, Neo has a habit of toying with her enemies. Torturing someone is not far for her. Plus Salem gave Neo what she wanted more than Cinder did. Neo is basically repaying Salem by interrogating you for the password.

The crazy thing about Ozma, Salem and the relics is Ozma with the relics had options to stop Salem or kill her. But if the roles were reversed Salem with the relics would have no way to stop Ozma. She can't trap him. She can't stop him from reincarnating without destroying all of humanity. All she would be able to do is delay him. Meaning she would have to kill so many unborn children and their mothers just stop Ozma from coming back if he was the villain.
